Summary: A high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet method was developed for the rapid and simultaneous analysis of bisphenols in building materials. The method achieved complete separation of these bisphenols within 40 minutes using a Kromasil 100-5 C18 column and a gradually increasing concentration of methanol in the mobile phase. The method also successfully analyzed bisphenols that are difficult to separate using mass spectrometry. The proposed method demonstrated appropriate precision and detection limits for the analysis of bisphenols in real samples.

Summary: Metal wires can be used as an alternative to liquid junctions in microfabricated electrochemical devices, providing similar performance when interfacial potentials are appropriately canceled. Iridium wires with iridium oxide at both ends are particularly effective for voltammetry, amperometry, and potentiometry when the pH of the solutions in the working and reference electrode compartments is equal, allowing for reliable common reference electrode integration and automated electrochemical control.

Summary: The simultaneous quantification of amino acids in solid beverages was achieved by HPLC coupled to a potentiometric detector without derivatization. The detector, consisting of a copper(II)-selective electrode, measured the potential changes resulting from the interaction between cupric copper ions and amino acids. Experimental validation confirmed the linearity, sensitivity, and accuracy of the method. The HPLC-potentiometric method showed better performance than UV detection, with detection limits in the sub-micromolar range.
