Vertically aligned Nb2O5 nanorods arrays were synthesized on metal foil by a facile and simple hydrothermal process. The well crystalized Nb2O5 nanorods grow along the [001] direction with hexagonal crystals structure. The I-V characteristics and switching process of these Nb2O5 nanorods arrays show a memristive switching alike phenomenon. It is revealed that the suitable measure delay time and negative bias could bring reasonable current values and good cycle stability, which suggests that aligned Nb2O5 nanorods arrays with multiple resistance states may have great potential applications.
