Summary: Statistical analysis on genomic data is important for exploring the relationship between gene sequence and phenotype. This paper presents a secure counting query protocol for securely sharing genomic data on cloud platforms. The protocol uses homomorphic encryption to securely process and calculate the genomic data, and experimental results show that it can perform query counting function efficiently. This provides a feasible solution for securely sharing genomic data for statistical analysis on cloud platforms.

Summary: Cloud computing has gained popularity in data sharing due to its large storage capacity and computing power. Protecting privacy is crucial in cloud-based data sharing. We introduce the concept of universal conditional proxy re-encryption (UCPRE) to address the flexible transformation of outsourced encrypted data between homomorphic encryption schemes in cloud-based data sharing. UCPRE is lightweight and secure without the use of a random oracle.

Summary: In this paper, a secure data group sharing and conditional dissemination scheme with multi-owner in cloud computing is proposed, allowing data owners to share private data with a group of users via the cloud in a secure way, and data disseminators to disseminate the data to a new group of users based on access policies in the ciphertext. Three policy aggregation strategies are provided to solve privacy conflicts caused by different access policies, showing the scheme is practical and efficient for secure data sharing with multi-owner in cloud computing.

Summary: A smart meter is an important part of the smart grid, collecting and reporting data to electricity companies within minutes or seconds. However, real-time power consumption data can compromise customer privacy. To address this, a Privacy-Preserving Multidimensional Data Aggregation (PP-MDA) scheme is proposed. The PP-MDA scheme uses the Paillier cryptosystem to aggregate encrypted power consumption at fog and cloud sites. It also provides secure query processing using identity-based and time-based methods. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the PP-MDA scheme in terms of communication cost and features compared to existing solutions.

Summary: This paper presents a synthesis of two novel privacy-enhancing technologies - homomorphic encryption and secure multiparty computation, referred to as multiparty homomorphic encryption. These technologies provide a mathematical guarantee of privacy and offer a performance advantage. Data processed and shared using multiparty homomorphic encryption can be considered anonymized data, reducing the reliance on customized contractual measures between institutions and accelerating the pace of medical research.

Summary: DUSP22 gene rearrangements are commonly found in systemic and cutaneous ALK-negative anaplastic large cell lymphomas, but rarely in other cutaneous CD30+ lymphoproliferations and other peripheral T-cell lymphomas. In this case report, a 51-year-old woman with celiac disease and a rapidly enlarging leg ulcer was found to have a DUSP22-rearranged CD30+ T-cell lymphoproliferation. The patient also had an enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL) with identical genetic abnormalities present in both the cutaneous and intestinal lesions. This finding suggests that DUSP22 rearrangements are not exclusive to ALCLs and may occur as a secondary aberration in EATL, expanding the differential diagnosis of DUSP22-rearranged cutaneous CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders.

Summary: Monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) is a rare aggressive T-cell lymphoma, commonly seen in Asia. This study investigated 71 European MEITL patients and found that the majority of patients presented with gastrointestinal involvement and had emergency surgery. The tumors were morphologically classified into typical and atypical groups, with a homogeneous immunophenotypic profile. MYC expression and TP53 mutation were correlated with atypical morphology and poor outcome, while aberrant B-cell marker expression correlated with better survival. MEITL is an aggressive disease with high clinical risk.

Summary: The development of targeted therapies for non-BRAF p.Val600-mutant melanomas remains challenging as Triple wildtype (TWT) melanomas lacking BRAF, NRAS, or NF1 mutations are heterogeneous in their genomic drivers. MAP2K1 mutations are enriched in BRAF-mutant melanomas and function as resistance mechanisms to BRAF inhibition. This case study illustrates the difficulties in combining MEK1 and CDK4/6 inhibitors in the presence of resistance to MEK inhibitor monotherapy.
