Summary: Solute transport in heterogeneous and fractured systems is complex. The mass exchange rate coefficient changes with time, and the transfer rate coefficient is smaller during the unloading process, possibly due to concentration-dependent counter-current advection-diffusion.

Summary: This study provides direct evidence of the impact of exchange rate volatility on corporate credit risk using data from Chinese listed companies. The results show that higher exchange rate volatility increases corporate credit risk, primarily by worsening firms' profitability and financial flexibility. Additionally, the impact of exchange rate volatility on corporate credit risk is mainly concentrated in large enterprises, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and capital-intensive enterprises.

Summary: This study examines the impact of RMB exchange-rate movements on resource allocation efficiency within industries at different pollution levels. The findings suggest that appreciation decreases resource allocation efficiency, but the effect is smaller for pollution-intensive industries.

Summary: Metal nanoparticles exsolved and anchored at the parent perovskite oxide surfaces can enhance the activity and stability for high-temperature chemical catalytic reactions. In this work, an electrochemical device is used to investigate the effect of electrochemical switching on exsolution. Increasing driving force leads to an increase in nanoparticle density and oxygen vacancy pairs or clusters are identified as the preferential nucleation sites for exsolution.

Summary: Bank filtration is a cost-effective method for improving surface water quality for drinking water production. This study presents a novel framework for deriving mean aquifer residence times using radon-222, which can estimate residence times without the addition of external substances to the aquifer. The method accounts for flow path mixing and non-uniform residence times, providing a simple and cost-efficient way to quantify residence times of bank filtrate.

Summary: This study examines the impact of a firm's exposure to foreign exchange rates on analysts' earnings forecasts. The results demonstrate that as forex exposure increases, analysts' forecast errors and dispersion also increase. The effects of forex exposure are influenced by volatility in the U.S. Dollar and media coverage.

Summary: Organosulfides offer new opportunities for high performance Li-S batteries due to their material abundance, versatile structures, and unique properties. Employing redox mediators is an effective strategy to improve the redox kinetics and cycling performance of organosulfides. Understanding the coupling between radical exchange and electrochemical redox is key to enhancing the sulfur kinetics in electrochemical devices.

Summary: This study utilizes a static model to examine the impact of exchange rate movements on the distribution of productivity within industries, and employs quantile regression to empirically test the effects of RMB exchange rate appreciation on labor productivity distribution. Based on data from China's manufacturing micro-enterprises survey, the study reveals that exchange rate appreciation increases the dispersion of productivity distribution and decreases resource allocation efficiency and aggregate productivity. The distribution of import intensity may be the main factor contributing to the increase in productivity dispersion and the deterioration of industrial resource allocation efficiency.

Summary: This study investigates how the detection probability of a groundwater monitoring network is affected by aquifer spatial heterogeneity and dispersion characteristics. The results show that aquifer dispersivity is the dominant parameter for network performance, with more dispersive transport conditions resulting in higher detection rates. Additionally, increasing aquifer heterogeneity and decreasing spatial continuity also lead to higher detection rates, although this effect is diminished for larger networks. Furthermore, statistical anisotropy has no significant impact on the network performance.

Summary: This paper analyzes the impact of financial constraints on the exchange rate pass-through of exporters. The results show that financially constrained firms have a higher exchange rate pass-through, providing a micro-level explanation for the lack of response of exports to exchange rate movements.

Summary: In this paper, the thermodynamic effect of the presence of the seed crystal surface on secondary nucleation is derived. The calculation shows that subcritical clusters close to the seed surface are more likely to become secondary nuclei, leading to a stabilization effect that can be observed in the study.

Summary: The study investigated the monitoring of potassium concentration changes in ESRD patients undergoing hemodialysis using time-warping analysis of ECG-derived T-wave morphology changes. It was found that d w and d w, c showed higher correlation coefficients with Delta[K+] than other proposed markers, suggesting their potential for non-invasive monitoring of ESRD-HD patients. Time-warping analysis of T-wave morphology variations could improve continuous and remote potassium monitoring and flagging risk of cardiovascular events in ESRD-HD patients.

Summary: This study investigates the solvation dynamics in ionic liquids and finds that the stretched nonexponential relaxation is not caused by rate heterogeneity, which conflicts with an earlier multidimensional analysis of the same data. However, the practicality of mode-correlation analysis in the face of finite datasets and calculations is demonstrated.
