In-capillary reactive polymer monoliths have been prepared from glycerol carbonate methacrylate functional monomers. Following functionalization with suitable ligands and eventually after immobilization of metallic nanoparticles, these materials can be successfully employed as supports for chromatographic applications or micro-reactors for flow-through catalysis.
