Nitroxide polymer brush grafted on superparamagnetic nanoparticles has been synthesized. Using the brush as a catalyst, the conversion by catalytic oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes and ketones is more than 99%. The catalyst can be easily recovered by applying amagnetic field. Furthermore, the reused catalyst still maintain high performance in catalytic oxidation.
