Gender identity and sexuality in an online sample of intersex-identified individuals: a descriptive study

Roi Jacobson, Daphna Joel

Summary: The study found a wide range of gender and sexuality experiences among intersex-identified individuals, with no correlation between sexuality and gender identity. Additionally, both gender identity and sexuality were found to have small to large correlations with dissatisfaction with gender-atypical body characteristics. The implications of these findings for our understanding of the relations between the development of sex, gender identity, and sexuality are discussed.
