Summary: This study demonstrated that (R)-TML104 alleviates experimental pancreatitis by activating AMP-activated protein kinase and inducing SIRT1 expression, which in turn reduces inflammatory cell infiltration. The mechanism involves inhibition of the inflammatory response mediated by the interleukin 6-STAT3 pathway through modulation of SIRT1.

Summary: The main cause of high mortality in cancer patients is tumor metastasis, and exploring the underlying mechanism of tumor metastasis is important for clinical treatments. This study identifies the transcription factor Apt/FSBP as a suppressor for tumor metastasis, providing it as a potential drug target for tumor treatment.

Summary: In this study, the analgesic effect of Resveratrol (Res) and its underlying mechanism were investigated in a rat model of spinal cord injury (SCI). The results showed that intrathecal administration with Res effectively alleviated mechanical allodynia in rats with SCI. It was also found that Res suppressed the production of pro-inflammatory factors and inhibited the expressions of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. These findings suggest that Res has the potential to be an effective treatment for neuropathic pain following SCI.

Summary: A promising therapeutic strategy to delay and/or prevent neurodegenerative diseases could be the restoration of neuroprotective pathways activated by neurons to defend against stress injury. The accumulation of neuroglobin (NGB), induced by the E2/ER beta axis, has been identified as a protective response that enhances mitochondria functionality and prevents apoptosis activation, increasing neuron resilience against oxidative stress. Resveratrol (Res), an ER beta ligand, has shown the ability to reactivate NGB accumulation and exert protective effects against oxidative stress in neuronal-derived cells.

Summary: Diabetic kidney disease is a common complication of diabetes, and lipid deposits in the kidneys contribute to kidney damage. This study found that abnormal lipid metabolism is closely related to diabetic kidney disease in patients. Additionally, the administration of resveratrol in mice with high-fat diet-induced renal abnormalities reduced lipid deposition, improved renal function, and regulated lipid synthesis pathways.

Summary: The study revealed that hypoxia-induced atrial fibrotic response primarily occurs via the ROS/JNK pathway, leading to upregulation of HIF-1 alpha and c-Jun/ATF2 phosphorylation. This mechanism could offer a novel therapeutic strategy against atrial fibrillation by targeting the suppression of ROS/JNK signaling pathway.

Summary: Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is common among adults and affects their quality of life. Resveratrol (RV), a polyphenol with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, has been studied in clinical trials for T2D but with conflicting results. In a randomized trial on older adults, 1000 mg/day of RV was found to have a more significant antioxidant effect compared to 500 mg/day, indicating its potential as an adjuvant therapy for T2D.
