Summary: This paper discusses the importance of regret in online learning and game learning dynamics, explores a new understanding of regret through the Phi-regret framework, and demonstrates that existing evolutionary learning algorithms can minimize the strongest form of Phi-regret. Experiments validate the theoretical results and demonstrate the potential application of Phi-regret in larger games.

Summary: The study proposes a new mean field evolutionary dynamics (MFEDs) model for predicting the evolution of COVID-19, showing its advantages through comparison with replicator dynamics (RDs). By fitting it to COVID-19 statistics from Wuhan, the efficiency of the model is demonstrated. Lastly, the study also analyzes the effects of one-time social distancing and the seasonality of COVID-19 post-pandemic.

Summary: Physiological processes rely on the control of cell proliferation, and mathematical modeling provides new insights into the complex regulation of cell proliferation dynamics. This review examines experimental approaches for measuring cell proliferation dynamics in vitro and discusses the integration of wet-laboratory studies with mathematical modeling to aid interpretation and prediction of cell behaviors, especially in the context of cancer.

Summary: This paper studies the fixed points of the network replicator equation on arbitrary graph structures and finds a relationship between the existence of an independent vertex set in the graph and the asymptotic behavior of the network replicator. It also shows that complex behavior does not emerge in 2 x 2 symmetric games. In contrast, ordinary rock-paper-scissors exhibits chaos on a 3-cycle and on general graphs with >= 3 vertices, the network replicator with rock-paper-scissors is a generalized Hamiltonian system. This stands in contrast to the established fact that rock-paper-scissors does not exhibit chaos in standard or bimatrix replicator dynamics.

Summary: In this paper, a theoretical modeling framework called the G-function is introduced to integrate the ecology and evolution of cancer. The G-function, previously used in evolutionary ecology, is applied to understand oncogenesis. The paper provides a basic model of cancer growth, incorporating cancer cell competition and drug resistance. A user-friendly software tool is also presented to explore eco-evolutionary modeling using this approach. The paper aims to enable readers to construct basic G-function models and understand the framework's usefulness in understanding the biological mechanics of cancer games.

Summary: In this paper, a generalized N-person snowdrift game with time costs is constructed, and the impact of psychological preferences on equilibria is investigated. Through numerical simulations and comparative analysis, it is confirmed that increasing the threshold, benefits, and time costs can promote cooperation, while increasing the group size and costs can curb cooperation.

Summary: Therapy resistance in melanoma can arise from genetic or nongenetic mechanisms, with the emergence of neural crest stem cells in minimal residual disease playing a role in the development of nongenetic resistance. Ablation of these cells through focal adhesion kinase inhibition delays tumor relapse and reveals that ultimately resistant tumors exhibit genetic alterations that increase sensitivity to specific inhibitors.

Summary: This study explores the effects of individual disguise and peer punishment on cooperation in N-person snowdrift games. The authors analyze the evolution of strategies using replicator dynamics and two-dimensional evolutionary state figures. The results suggest that high disguise cost and severe punishment promote cooperation, while low disguise cost and light punishment hinder cooperation.

Summary: This study develops a 2x2 evolutionary matrix game to model vegetation dynamics due to autotoxicity. It investigates the conditions for coexistence and dominance of low and highly sensitive plants, and analyzes the optimal distribution of these plants for maximizing cumulative total fitness. The findings highlight the necessary conditions for achieving the highest fitness in both mixed and monospecific populations of low-sensitivity plants.
