Summary: The study showed that CFA treatment suppressed behaviors and calcium responses associated with TRPV1-mediated histamine-dependent itch and TRPA1-mediated histamine-independent itch. Furthermore, CFA treatment increased nociceptive DRG neurons but decreased most known pruriceptors, which may explain itch suppression. This study suggested a unified adaptive change of increased pain and decreased itch under CFA-induced inflammatory conditions.

Summary: The study evaluated the anti-arthritic activity of chrysin and compared it with the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, piroxicam. Results showed that chrysin significantly reduced arthritis score, inflammatory cells, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and rheumatoid factor. Chrysin also regulated the mRNA levels of tumor necrosis factor, nuclear factor kappa-B, and toll-like recepter-2, and increased anti-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-4 and -10, thereby reducing the severity of arthritis.

Summary: The study found that Tragia involucrata has potential anti-inflammatory effects and can reduce symptoms of arthritis and restore normal tissue structure. Further analysis revealed the presence of flavonoids such as gallic acid, rutin, and quercetin in the plant, which showed potent anti-inflammatory potential. These findings suggest that Tragia involucrata could be a potential therapeutic candidate for treating inflammatory diseases.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of Moringa peregrina leaves and seed oil on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other inflammations in male Wistar albino rats. The results showed that Moringa leaves and oil could enhance anti-inflammatory activities, with significant antiarthritic and anti-inflammatory effects. Further research is needed to identify the effective components responsible for these activities.

Summary: Pain sufferers often dislike the environment associated with pain, known as pain aversion. The amygdala, a limbic structure in the brain, plays a critical role in emotion and pain. However, research on aversion caused by inflammatory pain is limited, and the underlying mechanisms are not well understood. This study used proteomics analysis to identify potential proteins involved in pain aversion in rats. Glutamate transporter-1 (GLT-1) was found to have correlation with pain aversion and may modulate the excitability of glutamatergic neurons. This study highlights the extensive biological changes in the amygdala induced by inflammatory pain.
