Composites of CoNi-MoS2 prepared by a hydrothermal reaction method exhibit outstanding microwave absorption performance due to the synergy of magnetic and dielectric losses, resulting in improved impedance matching and increased decay constants.
Composites consisting of magnetic CoNi particles and flower MoS2(CoNi-MoS2) have been prepared, by using a hydrothermal reaction method, for microwave absorption. When the CoNi-MoS2(2) molar ratio is 1:1, optimal absorption performance is achieved, with reflection loss of-60.93 dB at 5.68 GHz, while the thickness is 4.93 mm. The outstanding microwave absorption performance is attributed to the synergy of the magnetic and dielectric losses, which greatly improves the impedance matching and increases the decay constants of the materials.
