This work analyzes the performance of a terrestrial MDM-WDM FSO link at a data rate of 1000 Gbps using a dual polarization-quadrature phase shift keying (DP-QPSK) modulation scheme. The study investigates the link's performance considering linearly polarized (LP) 01 and 02 modes with a channel capacity and spacing of 10 x 100 Gbps and 10 GHz respectively. The evaluated parameters include received optical power and signal to noise ratio (SNR) under different weather conditions (clear, light fog, medium fog, and heavy fog) over a transmission range of 1.2 km to 20 km.
In this work, a dual polarization-quadrature phase shift keying (DP-QPSK) modulation scheme has been used for analysing the performance of terrestrial MDM-WDM FSO link at a data rate of 1000 Gbps. The proposed link has been investigated considering linearly polarized (LP) 01 and 02 modes with a channel capacity and spacing of 10 x 100 Gpbs and 10 GHz respectively. The performance of the system has been evaluated in terms of received optical power and signal to noise ratio (SNR) for clear weather, light, medium and heavy fog conditions over a propagation range varying from 1.2 km to 20 km.
