Summary: The circular RNA hsa_circ_0024093 from YAP1 was found to positively regulate YAP1 protein levels in VSMCs, affecting cell proliferation, migration, and apoptosis in the in vitro model of ASO of the lower extremities. Mechanistically, hsa_circ_0024093 was shown to regulate YAP1 protein expression by sequestering miR-889-3p or miR-4677-3p to enhance USP9X expression. Rescue assays further confirmed the regulatory effects of hsa_circ_0024093 on VSMC function in ASO of the lower extremities. These findings offer new insights into the pathogenesis of ASO.

Summary: Hypoxia-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in proximal tubular epithelial cells (PTECs) is modulated by miR-545-3p-TNFSF10 interaction. TNFSF10 attenuates EMT induced by hypoxia in PTECs. These findings provide new insights into the unique regulation of miR-545-3p-TNFSF10 interaction and their potential therapeutic effect in kidney injury induced by hypoxia.

Summary: By transcriptome sequencing, differentially expressed circRNAs were screened in chemoresistant and chemosensitive small cell lung cancer (SCLC) cells, and circSH3PXD2A was identified as significantly downregulated. In vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrated that circSH3PXD2A inhibits chemoresistance in SCLC through the miR-375-3p/YAP1 axis. Additionally, EVs-derived circSH3PXD2A may serve as a predictive biomarker for DDP-resistant SCLC patients.

Summary: The study found that LINC00961 is significantly downregulated in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues, and it inhibits the expression of miR-19a-3p/miR-19b-3p/miR-125b-5p through the PI3K-AKT/MAPK/mTOR signaling pathway, thereby suppressing tumor cell proliferation and migration while promoting apoptosis. This may provide potential biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of NSCLC.

Summary: This study found abnormal expression of circular RNAs in pancreatic cancer tissues, and identified the role of hsa_circ_0014784 in the progression of pancreatic cancer. Bioinformatics analysis and experimental validation revealed that hsa_circ_0014784 interacts with miR-214-3p and YAP1, regulating the proliferation, invasion, and angiogenesis of pancreatic cancer.

Summary: Low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) Non-Small Cell Lung (NSCLC) screening has a high false-positive rate, and there is a need for minimally invasive approaches to improve the accuracy of NSCLC diagnosis. Additionally, NSCLC patients treated with Osimertinib often develop resistance, and the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood. This study found that a combination of plasma extracellular vesicle (EV) and circulating microRNA (miRNA) can effectively discriminate between NSCLC patients and high-risk cancer-free controls, and certain miRNAs play a role in cancer therapy resistance signals.

Summary: This study investigates the role of miR-596-3p in brain metastasis of NSCLC. The results reveal that miR-596-3p inhibits the invasion of cancer cells and permeability of the blood brain barrier by modulating the YAP1-IL8 network. The findings suggest that miR-596-3p may serve as a potential therapeutic target for brain metastasis in NSCLC.
