Summary: This study developed and validated a radiomics nomogram based on F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for non-invasive prediction of bone marrow involvement (BMI) in pediatric neuroblastoma. The radiomics nomogram incorporated radiomics signature and independent clinical risk factors, and showed good predictive performance in predicting BMI.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the ability of brain 2-[F-18]FDG-PET to reveal the metabolic features characterizing patients with pure bulbar or spinal motor impairment. The results showed that ALS patients with bulbar onset exhibited relative hypometabolism in the bilateral precentral gyrus, and the SVM classifier performed the best.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the clinical relevance of F-18-FDG PET/CT compared to CT in predicting the response to PD-1 blockade in the early phase. The results showed that metabolic assessment by MTV or TLG was superior to morphological changes on CT for predicting the therapeutic response and survival.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed FDG PET results of patients diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis (AE) between 2015 and 2020. The study found that 98% of patients showed abnormal PET results, displaying higher sensitivity compared to MRI (53%). The most frequent abnormalities were medial temporal lobe and/or striatum hypermetabolism, cortical hypometabolism, and cerebellum abnormalities. LGI1 AE showed more frequent medial temporal lobe hypermetabolism, while NMDAR AE showed widespread cortical hypometabolism. GAD AE showed fewer abnormalities. Striatum hypermetabolism was more frequent in patients treated for less than 1 month, suggesting a relation to disease activity.

Summary: The combination of [F-18]FDG PET/MRI and MEG in localizing the EZ in TLE patients showed higher concordance with surgical resection compared to PET/MRI or MEG alone. Lobar localization was clearly defined in majority of patients by [F-18]FDG PET/MRI/MEG. The results of PET/MRI/MEG in concordance with surgical outcome were found to be superior to PET/MRI or MEG alone.

Summary: This preclinical study evaluated the changes in PSMA expression in CRPC tumors following standard treatment using [F-18]JK-PSMA-7 PET/CT. The results showed that PSMA expression decreased in tumor cells after successive ADT and chemotherapy, leading to a reduction in [F-18]JK-PSMA-7 PET uptake. Caution should be exercised when using PSMA-based imaging for therapy monitoring in CRPC patients.

Summary: In this prospective study, [Ga-68]Pentixafor-PET showed higher sensitivity and detection rates compared to [F-18]FDG-PET in patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), indicating that it may be a potential alternative for imaging in these patients. Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the survival rate and prognostic factors in lung transplant recipients with interstitial lung disease complicating idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM-ILD). The study found that the post-transplant survival rate in IIM-ILD was similar to that in international all-cause transplantation registries and worse in patients with classical IIM. Muscle involvement was identified as the main factor associated with worse survival.
