Summary: Encouraging pro-environmental behavior in one domain may not necessarily lead to increased PEB in other domains, as individuals may compensate for their good performance in one domain by underperforming in another. This highlights the need for a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underlying behavioral change to support sustainable policies.

Summary: This study examines the environmental effects and changes that offshore wind farms (OWFs) can have on the marine environment, and develops an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) checklist to evaluate the compatibility of OWF developments with the maintenance of Good Environmental Status (GES). The findings suggest that OWF developments would have minor or no impact on GES for 78% of the assessed marine waters. The study also discusses potential impact mitigation measures and reinforces the importance of data collection and monitoring for maintaining GES.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the correlation between recent Brazilian environmental policies and deforestation rates in the Cerrado region over the past 20 years. The findings suggest that improvements in environmental legislation between 2005 and 2012, as well as the implementation of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), have contributed to a decrease in deforestation rates. However, changes in the political landscape since 2016, characterized by increased influence from the agribusiness sector and a more conservative agenda, pose a threat to Brazil's environmental quality.

Summary: This paper analyzes the effects of government subsidy policy and carbon cap and trade policy (CTP) on remanufacturing in a closed-loop supply chain. The results show that both policies can promote remanufacturing, and factors such as government subsidy, cost savings, and carbon trading price have a significant impact on the promotion of remanufacturing. The study also suggests that CTP can be an ideal substitution for the government subsidy policy.

Summary: The role of information in handling complex issues like environmental policies is crucial, but the prevalence of low-quality sources globally significantly impacts societal perception. This study focuses on Brazil and explores the influence of socioeconomic factors on public interest and preferred information sources regarding environmental law and the licensing process. The findings highlight that interest in reforming the licensing process is concentrated among the academic and high-income segments, and the topic lacks significant coverage in the media. Academic media has a positive effect on knowledge and importance given to the theme, but a preference for academic media increases the likelihood of unreliable responses. The public prefers social media platforms, coworker information exchanges, and websites for information on environmental licensing and bill 3729/2004. The study emphasizes the importance of scientific communication to avoid knowledge concentration among wealthy or highly educated respondents. It concludes that active participation of academics in the general community can provide the public with the necessary information to be an active voice in policymaking.

Summary: This paper examines the rationale for pursuing environmental objectives by reducing food loss and waste. It finds that reducing food loss can improve resource use efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions per unit of food consumed. However, the actual environmental impact depends on where the reduction occurs and how price transmission connects along the food supply chain.

Summary: This paper evaluates the impact of government intervention in fuel prices in Brazil from 2002 to 2016 on CO2 emissions, finding that this intervention led to a significant increase in CO2 emissions. The results suggest that there was a misalignment of prices related to the sector, with CO2 emissions almost doubling during the periods of intervention.
