Summary: This study explores the decision-making process of adopting blockchain technology in a supply chain and its effects on supply chain performance. The research finds that manufacturers should only adopt blockchain technology when consumer sensitivity to it reaches a certain level, and manufacturers who are able to introduce blockchain technology earlier are more likely to gain higher profits. Additionally, the introduction of blockchain technology does not result in additional wholesale costs for the retailer.

Summary: Improving traceability in food supply chains through technologies like blockchain has become important for reducing contamination risks and food waste. The adoption of traceability technology can bring direct revenue benefits but also result in strategic pricing and increased contamination risk. The structure of the supply chain network also affects the distribution of benefits from traceability adoption. Alternative risk-mitigation schemes and partial traceability can be more beneficial to retailers than full traceability.

Summary: Technological advancements have greatly improved various aspects of supply chain management, but supply chain visibility is still lacking. Blockchain technology shows potential in addressing supply chain sustainability issues. This study evaluates the proximity of blockchain technology in resolving provenance issues in the supply chain. Findings suggest that the benefits of blockchain technology in sustainable supply chain management are mostly conceptual and there are limited practical applications. The study also highlights the need for participants in a blockchain-enabled supply chain network to have the same level of knowledge regarding the technology. There is growing research interest in this field, which will eventually lead to solutions for the challenges faced by blockchain technology in integration with supply chain management. These findings contribute to the literature on improving the security and utility of supply chain sustainability and provenance using blockchain technology.

Summary: The production and sales of electric vehicles in China are increasing, leading to a forthcoming wave of scrap batteries. However, power battery recycling faces challenges such as disorganization, lack of standards, and low efficiency. Additionally, the power battery recycling supply chain encounters issues with transparency, data management, trustworthiness, and counterfeiting. Therefore, a blockchain-based PBRSC management integration framework is proposed to address these problems and improve the ecosystem.

Summary: This paper investigates the strategies for adopting blockchain technology in the fresh product supply chain and finds that it is not always the optimal decision. Regardless of the power and status of each member in the supply chain, they can lead the construction of the blockchain system. From the perspective of whole supply chain's profit maximisation, the leader of the supply chain should lead the construction of the blockchain system.

Summary: This paper studies the optimal pricing strategies of a supply chain considering the traceability awareness of consumers in different scenarios, and discusses the conditions for adopting blockchain technology in the supply chain. The results show that the adoption of blockchain technology in the supply chain is conditional and depends on factors such as consumer traceability awareness, production costs, and technology costs. The paper also suggests that under certain conditions, a revenue sharing contract can improve the performance of a supply chain that adopts blockchain technology.

Summary: Blended finance, as an alternative financing method for the agricultural sector, has yet to be considered as the preferred mechanism by investors and financiers. This study explores the gap in existing literature by examining factors such as governance, actor moral preferences, and institutional complexity. The case study of the Integrated Fish Farming in Odisha, India, reveals reservations among actors regarding blended finance implementation, including procedural restrictions for local banks and unappealing incentive structures for the implementing agency. However, the collaboration between actors based on role complementarities and proximity can contribute to the mainstreaming of blended finance.

Summary: This study analyzes the characteristics of process parameters in three lean gas ethane recovery processes and establishes a prediction and multiobjective optimization model for ethane recovery and system energy consumption. A new method for comparing ethane recovery processes for lean gas is proposed, and the addition of extra coolers improves the ethane recovery. The support vector regression model based on grey wolf optimization demonstrates the highest prediction accuracy, and the multiobjective multiverse optimization algorithm shows the best optimization performance and diversity in the solutions.

Summary: The paper proposes a novel deep learning-based prediction framework, aTCN-LSTM, for accurate cooling load predictions. The framework utilizes a gate-controlled multi-head temporal convolutional network and a sparse probabilistic self-attention mechanism with a bidirectional long short-term memory network to capture both temporal and long-term dependencies in the cooling load sequences. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method, which can serve as an effective guide for HVAC chiller scheduling and demand management initiatives.

Summary: This study uses survey data from the Loess Plateau in China to evaluate the impact of social interaction on the adoption of soil and water conservation (SWC) technology by farmers. The study finds that social interaction increases the likelihood of farmers adopting SWC, and internet use moderates this effect. The positive impact of social interaction on SWC adoption is more pronounced for farmers in larger villages and those who join cooperative societies.
