Summary: In this study, a ternary hybrid CdS-P25/ZIF-67 was prepared by incorporating CdS and P25 to form CdS-P25 and immobilizing it on the surface of ZIF-67. The CdS-P25/ZIF-67 showed enhanced light absorption and suppressed charge recombination, resulting in improved photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction.

Summary: A novel polyoxometalate-based ionic liquid salt [MIMPs]3PMo6W6O40 was designed and used as a catalyst in oxidative desulfurization, showing high activity in removing sulfur compounds with a low O/S molar ratio. The catalyst also exhibited excellent recyclability and efficiency in reducing sulfur compounds in real diesel.

Summary: Two ionic liquid-type UiO-66 (Mod-UiO-66@(IL)) were synthesized by the hydrothermal method for studying the adsorption desulfurization performance of DBT in model oil. Among them, Mod-UiO-66@(IL1) showed the best adsorption performance with a maximum adsorption capacity of 43.52 mg/g for DBT, and also exhibited good removal effect on different sulfur compounds.

Summary: In this study, a BiVO4@HKUST-1 composite catalyst was used for ultra-desulfurization of a model fuel through photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic processes. The BiVO4@HKUST-1 composite showed the best performance under photocatalytic desulfurization conditions, achieving the same results as the photoelectrocatalytic system with shorter time and lower amounts of oxidant and catalyst.

Summary: This investigation successfully removes sulfur-based compounds by a combination of absorptive and oxidative desulfurization processes using a series of novel Bi-based bifunctional photo electrocatalysts. The results showed that the catalysts had higher efficiency in absorptive desulfurization and better results in oxidative desulfurization. Among the catalysts, photoelectrocatalytic desulfurization performed best in dibenzothiophene removal.

Summary: In this study, composite catalysts of MoS2 and MoO2 were prepared using a one-step hydrothermal method and used for photocatalytic hydrogen production. The 2H-MoS2/MoO2 composite catalyst showed the best performance with 48% MoO2 content, achieving a hydrogen yield of 960 mu mol/h and an improved selectivity by 22%. The excellent performance of the composite catalyst was attributed to the formation of a heterogeneous structure between MoS2 and MoO2, improving the migration of photogenerated carriers and reducing the possibilities of recombination.

Summary: This study synthesized pure ZnO and ZnTiO3/ZnO composite photocatalysts using zinc acetate and butyl titanate, and found that the ZnTiO3/ZnO composite with a Ti/Zn molar ratio of 0.2 exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity. Exceeding this ratio decreased the photocatalytic performance of the composites.

Summary: This study successfully prepared a novel NiS/KNbO3 p-n heterojunction composite for efficient photocatalytic nitrogen fixation, achieving a high ammonia production rate. The synergistic effect of the internal electric field and type-II band structure in NiS/KNbO3 enables high efficiency in spatial separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.

Summary: In this study, dodecylamine and ethyl orthosilicate were used to prepare HMS molecular sieves, which were further modified by Cu, Ce, and Cu/Ce. The Cu/Ce-HMS molecular sieve catalyst showed the highest desulfurization rate among the modified catalysts. Ultraviolet diffuse reflectance results indicated that Cu/Ce-HMS had enhanced photocatalytic performance and desulfurization efficiency.
