Deeply-dyed nanobead system for rapid lateral flow assay testing of drugs at point-of-care

Summary: A new deeply dyed nanobead (DDNB) system was developed for the sensitive detection of trace drugs in hair samples. The DDNB strips showed significantly higher sensitivity compared to traditional gold nanoparticle-based immunoassays, allowing for the detection of drugs such as morphine and methamphetamine within minutes.
