Lanthanide composites having functionalities due to lanthanide elements, such as magnetic and luminescent properties, are of interest because of their use in various applications and their scientific importance. In this study, we prepared transparent materials with both magnetic and luminescent properties by immobilizing terbium on nanogel particles. The resulting materials were optically transparent, responded quickly to a magnet, and showed green fluorescence. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
