Summary: In order to improve the standard systems of intelligent construction in coal mines, it is necessary to promote the high-quality development of the coal mining industry. The current intelligent construction of coal mines is inefficient. This paper proposes an intelligent coal mine construction evaluation model that integrates FDEMATEL and ANP to deal with the complexity and diversity of index factors. The results show a significant correlation between the indexes affecting the intelligent construction of coal mines, with basic platform intelligence and safety monitoring intelligence being the most important aspects.

Summary: This study develops an intelligent multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model to select the optimal construction method for complex and fuzzy construction environments in underground infrastructure construction (UIC) in China. The model consists of three stages: decision hierarchy establishment and data collection, data processing, and MCDM modelling. It also introduces the coefficient of variation for spherical fuzzy set to evaluate the degree of consensus on judgments of experts towards evaluated objects, and outlines a decision hierarchy for the optimal construction method for UIC. The developed model provides an alternative approach to address complex decision-making issues in the UIC field.

Summary: Lean has been widely adopted in construction over the past decade to enhance project performance through maximizing value and minimizing waste. However, a change in culture is necessary for lasting change, rather than relying solely on tools and techniques. Lean Leadership plays a crucial role in ensuring this cultural change by integrating Lean principles with leadership behavior. This study investigates the impact of effective leadership on construction project success, developing novel components for Lean Leadership in the construction industry and confirming a direct and positive association between Lean Leadership and project success through data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).

Summary: The evaluation of flotation reagents plays a crucial role in the selection and eco-friendly application of reagents. Various methods, such as data literature method, system analysis method, mathematical model method, qualitative and quantitative analysis method, were used to establish the green evaluation system, flotation effect evaluation system, and comprehensive evaluation system of flotation collectors. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) methods were applied to determine the weight of indicators and calculate the index system score. The established evaluation system was successfully applied in an example, demonstrating its comprehensive evaluation capabilities and practicality for collector evaluation.

Summary: The construction industry provides employment opportunities for people from all backgrounds. Effective data management is crucial for the success and development of the construction industry. However, the implementation of digitalization poses challenges to data safety. This study evaluated the impact of data management risks on construction project performance by surveying professionals in the South African construction industry. The findings identified the top three effects of data risks as construction project data loss, confidential information loss, and harm to company image and reputation.

Summary: The lack of comprehensive applicability evaluation criteria has hindered the widespread use of garlic planters. To address this gap, a three-level index system and a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were proposed in this study. The evaluation results showed that although the first-generation garlic planter’s score was within the good range, improvements are needed in terms of operational safety, plant spacing and planting depth adjustments, ease of operation, and capital cost reduction.

Summary: In the past decade, the construction industry has faced various issues in planning processes, team management, and decision-making during the design phase. Lean construction and Building Information Modeling (BIM) offer solutions to improve project management by leveraging BIM data through Lean principles. However, current literature mainly focuses on optimizing the design phase to anticipate deviations before construction begins. This study provides an updated review of the interaction between BIM and Lean in the design phase, analyzing different Lean methods and tools that can be used in conjunction with BIM. The study also offers recommendations for future research and professional practices.

Summary: Alliance contracting is introduced in pre-construction to improve joint ventures, while Lean reduces waste in preconstruction and construction processes. The combination of Alliance and Lean practices in construction projects enhances quality, transparency, and productivity, leading to their adoption by researchers and organizations. However, the integration of Lean and Alliance has not been thoroughly studied. This investigation focuses on the Indian construction industry and employs factor analysis, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), and the weighted average method to explore the synergistic effect. The study identifies stakeholder commitment and work transparency as barriers and benefits of Alliance Lean integration. The hypothesis of the study supports the effectiveness of integrating Alliance with Lean methodology, proposing its application to improve construction project delivery.

Summary: This paper proposes a new method for establishing CC-AEEPs from the perspective of cooperation among human, society, and engineering, based on the theories of engineering sociology and CC. The SNA method is applied to AEEP construction research for the first time, and the SNA method for CC-AEEPs is proposed. The optimal management factors of CC-AEEPs and the expansion path of CC-AEEP social networks are proposed based on the whole-process tracking of AEEPs in Wuhan.
