Summary: miRNA-200a-3p expression is significantly increased in both gastric cancer tissues and cells, promoting tumor growth and development via DLC-1 as an oncogene in GC cells. The miRNA-200a-3p/DLC axis may provide a theoretical basis for potential improvements in gastric cancer treatment strategies.

Summary: Bladder cancer is an aggressive malignancy with high recurrence rates and distant metastasis, and circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important regulatory roles in cancer progression. In this study, circST6GALNAC6 was identified as downregulated in bladder cancer tissues and cells, inhibiting cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition both in vitro and in vivo by sponging miR-200a-3p to regulate STMN1 expression. This SP1-induced circST6GALNAC6/miR-200a-3p/STMN1 axis provides potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for bladder cancer metastasis.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the functional roles of miR-410-3p in primary gastric cancer and the roles of exosomes in regulating miR-410-3p expression. It was found that miR-410-3p was downregulated in gastric cancer and its overexpression inhibited cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Exosomal miR-410-3p expression was significantly higher than its endogenous expression and exosomes from gastric cancer cells regulated miR-410-3p expression in other cells.

Summary: In this study, the posttranscriptional regulatory effect of miR-200a-3p on STAT4 and the prognostic significance of miR-200a-3p and STAT4 were evaluated in bladder cancer. The results showed that miR-200a-3p was downregulated while STAT4 was upregulated in bladder cancer tissues and cells. Both miR-200a-3p and STAT4 were validated as independent prognostic indicators for predicting overall survival and disease-free survival in bladder cancer patients. Furthermore, miR-200a-3p was found to directly target STAT4 and suppress its protein expression, thereby inhibiting bladder cancer cell growth and inducing apoptosis. These findings suggest that the miR-200a-3p/STAT4 signaling cascade plays a crucial role in bladder cancer progression and could serve as a potential target for targeted therapies.

Summary: The study found that miR-200a-3p expression levels are elevated in human bladder cancer, and are significantly associated with distant metastasis and advanced stage. miR-200a-3p promotes bladder cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and cell cycle progression, while inhibiting apoptosis. A20 was identified as a target gene of miR-200a-3p in bladder cancer cells.

Summary: This study investigated the efficacy of rabeprazole-amoxicillin or furazolidone regimens as first-line therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication and factors affecting the eradication rate. The results showed that rabeprazole-amoxicillin dual therapy was equally effective to bismuth-containing quadruple therapy, with fewer side effects. Successful eradication was associated with lower body surface area and non-smoking condition.

Summary: This study investigated the family-based infection status, related factors, and transmission patterns of Helicobacter pylori in central China. The results showed that the infection rate was 54.27%, with at least one infected individual in 87.23% of healthy households. Furthermore, in 27.24% of these infected households, all members were infected. Individuals with a higher education level had lower infection rates.

Summary: The study investigated family-based Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in mainland China. The results showed a high infection rate among families, with infected family members being the main source of transmission. These findings support the shift from individual-based treatment to family-based management, which has important clinical and public health implications for infection control and disease prevention.

Summary: Experts discussed and modified 23 original statements on family-based H. pylori infection transmission, control and management, and reached consensus on 16 statements. The final report consists of three parts: H. pylori infection and transmission among family members, prevention and management of H. pylori infection in children and elderly people within households, and strategies for prevention and management of H. pylori infection for family members. In addition to the 'test-and-treat' and 'screen-and-treat' strategies, this consensus also introduced a novel third 'family-based H. pylori infection control and management' strategy to prevent its intrafamilial transmission and development of related diseases.
