Summary: Evidence suggests that ROR alpha plays a crucial role in cartilage development and OA pathogenesis by regulating the expression of cartilage matrix components. Blocking ROR alpha can reverse cartilage damage and elevate the expression of cartilage matrix components. Additionally, ROR alpha affects the IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway, highlighting its potential as a treatment target in OA therapy.

Summary: TBB, a compound extracted from Wedelia trilobata flowers, exhibits significant anti-tumor effects on HCC cells, inhibiting cell growth, inducing apoptosis, arresting cell cycle, and regulating protein expression levels. It effectively suppresses tumor growth in xenograft models without causing overt toxicity to healthy tissues.

Summary: The study revealed that sulfur dioxide derivatives exert toxic effects on trophoblasts, leading to decreased cellular viability, reduced intracellular ROS levels, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis induction, abnormal secretion of inflammation-related cytokines, and inhibition of cell migration and invasion. Decreased levels of ROS/IL-6/STAT3 play a role in the inhibited cell viability, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and defective motility.

Summary: This study investigates the role of IL-6 in defective angiogenesis mediated by LRG1. The results show that IL-6 activates LRG1 transcription through STAT3 phosphorylation, resulting in vascular destabilization. This finding is important for understanding the role of IL-6 in COVID-19 patients.

Summary: The study found that Butea monosperma, a traditional Indian medicine, has potent anti-IL-6 activity and can be used for the treatment of ovarian cancer. It inhibits IL-6 signaling pathway, suppresses cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, and significantly inhibits the growth of ovarian cancer.

Summary: This study evaluates the ability of norcantharidin (NCTD) to improve the efficacy of sorafenib (Sora) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The results show that NCTD enhances the activity of Sora against HCC and potentiates Sora-induced oxidative stress, tumor immunity reactivation, and attenuation of angiogenesis and metastasis. NCTD also suppresses drug resistance and stemness, and boosts Sora's antiproliferative and apoptotic activities.
