Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the large magnetocaloric effect in LaFe11.35Co0.6Si1.05 alloy. X-ray diffraction and Mossbauer spectroscopy confirmed the coexistence of La(Fe,Si)(13)-type and alpha-Fe(Co,Si) phases. The magnetic entropy change and phase transition were analyzed using thermomagnetic Maxwell relation, Landau theory, and universal scaling curve.

Summary: The Bjurbole L/LL4 ordinary chondrite was studied using various analytical techniques, revealing that its composition is similar to the LL group of ordinary chondrites, with higher contents of forsterite and enstatite. Additionally, the magnetic properties of chromite, as well as the hyperfine parameters of iron in different components, were determined.

Summary: A sonochemical reactor was used to synthesize Mn1-xCuxLa0.1Fe1.9O4 nanoferrites with different compositions, and their magnetic, electrical, and structural properties were investigated. The results showed that the crystalline structure and size of the nanoferrites were influenced by the Cu2+ content. The nanoferrites exhibited pseudocapacitance, resistive behavior, and soft ferromagnetic behavior.

Summary: ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles exhibit superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature, with maximum magnetization values between 4 and 7 emu/g at an applied magnetic field of 1T. The cationic disorder within the two sublattices has a clear influence on the blocking temperature, affecting the transition to an ordered blocked state at higher temperatures. EPR inspection confirmed the superparamagnetic behavior is related to the inversion degree of the spinel phase.

Summary: Magnesium ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using the solution combustion method. The effect of fuel concentration on the spectroscopic, structural, and magnetic properties of MgFe2O4 was investigated. The results showed that increasing the fuel amount led to a decrease in crystallite size and an increase in lattice strain, dislocation density, and specific surface area. The study also revealed that the number and parameters of magnetic sextets assigned to different sites varied slightly with different fuel concentrations.

Summary: The CoInOPO4 compound was synthesized using the sol-gel method and its crystal structure was determined using powder X-ray diffraction data and Rietveld method. The structure of this phosphate consists of a three-dimensional network built up from (Co(2)/In(2))O6 octahedra, (In(1)/Co(1))O5 square pyramid, and PO4 tetrahedra. Infrared and Raman spectroscopy were used to analyze the structural information, and magnetic investigation revealed that the dominating interactions in this phosphate are antiferromagnetic.
