Summary: The study found that the addition of date palm seed powder reduces the crystallinity of recycled linear low-density polyethylene, while not affecting its melting and crystallization temperature. With the increase in filler loading, thermal stability decreases leading to a decrease in mechanical properties.

Summary: The primary constraints hindering the widespread adoption of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) include expensive raw materials, internal defects, difficulty in controlling the quality and stability, and lack of consistency in the powder feedstock. This study investigated the evolution mechanism of 316L powders after multiple recycling in the LPBF process and revealed significant effects on physical properties, phase transformation, mechanical properties, and magnetic properties. Additionally, oddly shaped spatters were found in the recycled powders and their formation mechanism was elaborated.

Summary: This paper focuses on the synthesis of sustainable thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) using a recycled bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) monomer obtained from marine polyethylene terephthalate (PET) litter and a renewable castor oil-derived macrodiol. The TPUs were synthesized in bulk without catalysts, with different BHET contents as chain extenders. Extensive characterization of the BHET monomer and TPUs was conducted. The TPUs synthesized in this work, consisting of at least three quarters of biobased and recycled components, exhibited favorable thermal, thermomechanical, and mechanical properties.

Summary: In this study, Recycled Polymer (RP) composites were synthesized using compression molding process. Date Palm Fibers (DPF) were used as reinforcement materials with different lengths and weight ratios. The results showed that the hardness and impact of the composites increased with the increase of DPF weight ratio and length. The specimens with 10mm length and 20wt% weight ratio exhibited the highest creep resistance and tensile strength. The specimens with 2.5mm length and 5% weight ratio had the maximum strain due to the ductility of the plastic matrix.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of using recycled powders in the fabrication of a nickel-based superalloy. The recycled powders showed re-melted powder surfaces, satellite particles, and a high-oxygen-content surface layer, leading to an increased density of printing-induced cracks, mainly formed along grain boundaries and cellular boundaries.

Summary: This study presents the processing and characterization of waste marble powder-reinforced recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) composites. The results show that the incorporation of marble dust improves the mechanical properties of rPET, but excessive content leads to a decrease in strength.

Summary: The technology of nickel-alumina composite coatings obtained by low-pressure cold spray (LPCS) was described in this paper. The content of alumina reinforcement and the morphology of cladded powders were optimized by mixing different commercial and developed powders. The coatings' microhardness and bond strength varied for different mixtures of powders used in the spraying process.

Summary: Recycled aggregate (RA) is widely used in China for construction and demolition waste treatment. However, the production of finer powders during the RA preparation process reduces the quality of RA. Separating and individually using different sizes of recycled concrete powders can improve the performance of RAs and their potential applications.

Summary: The study investigates the properties of recycled concrete powder (RCP) and recycled brick powder (RBP) and their impact on mortar properties. It was found that RBP has a lower negative impact on mortar workability compared to RCP due to its lower specific surface area and porosity, and contributes significantly to flexural strength.

Summary: The study evaluated the effects of different contents of jupati particles on the properties of composite materials made with recycled LDPE as the matrix. The inclusion of jupati particles in the composites resulted in increased density and improved properties, except for the modulus of rupture. These results were attributed to the chemical characteristics of jupati particles and their low interaction with the matrix.
