Summary: A novel Pd precursor is synthesized to overcome the challenge of fabricating highly water-soluble and chlorine-free precursors from Pd complexes. A Pd/Al2O3 adsorbent is prepared and evaluated to have higher sulfur adsorption capacity and improved stability compared to a commercial Pd/Al2O3 adsorbent.

Summary: The study investigated the effect of rhenium on the performance of CoMoNi/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst in thiophene hydrodesulphurization. It was found that the CoMoNiRe/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst exhibited superior activity due to higher acidic functional groups. A kinetic model based on the Langmuir-Hinshelwood approach was developed, considering two types of active centers, with statistical reasons supporting the model's adequacy in representing experimental results.

Summary: This work presents an effective method for preparing open-cell ceramic foams using a polyurethane sponge replica technique, ceramic suspension, and polyvinyl alcohol solution. The ceramic carriers were modified with NaOH etching, colloidal silica coating, and gamma-alumina layer, followed by impregnation of an active catalytic phase (Pt). The catalytic properties and applicability of the foam catalysts were demonstrated through hydrogenation experiments.

Summary: Two ionic liquid-type UiO-66 (Mod-UiO-66@(IL)) were synthesized by the hydrothermal method for studying the adsorption desulfurization performance of DBT in model oil. Among them, Mod-UiO-66@(IL1) showed the best adsorption performance with a maximum adsorption capacity of 43.52 mg/g for DBT, and also exhibited good removal effect on different sulfur compounds.

Summary: We estimated the kinematical higher-twist corrections to the gamma*(q(1))gamma(q(2)) -> M(p(1))(M) over bar (p(2)) amplitudes, and calculated the cross sections for gamma*gamma -> pi(0)pi(0) and gamma*gamma -> eta eta. The results show that the kinematical higher-twist corrections play an important role in the total cross section, and considering these corrections is necessary for an accurate evaluation of the meson energy-momentum tensor form factors.

Summary: The addition of MOx as a second promoter positively influences the performance of Pd/γ-Al2O3 catalyst, enhancing its reducing capability and providing richer palladium step sites. Additionally, the MOx dopant increases surface oxygen species, inhibits the accumulation of OH/H2O, and improves both activity and moisture-tolerance of the catalyst.

Summary: This research investigated the performance of unsupported and γ-Al2O3 supported Ni-Mo catalysts for palm oil deoxygenation to biohydrogenated diesel. It was found that the hydrothermal method for preparing 0.2-NiMoS2 catalyst was efficient, while the H-NiMoS2/γ-Al2O3-0.2 catalyst prepared using a one-step hydrothermal method showed good HDO activity. Both catalysts could be reused for at least three cycles while maintaining good performance.

Summary: A novel two-stage integrated bubbling-transport bed reactor was proposed for post-combustion CO2 capture using K2CO3/Al2O3 sorbents. The optimal adsorption temperature range was found to be between 60 degrees C and 100 degrees C, with wider range than traditional reactors. CO2 capture efficiency increased with sorbent circulation rate and desorption temperature, while better performance was observed with air desorption gas. Water vapor step-feeding enhanced maximum CO2 capture efficiency from 87% to 96% and showed strong anti-interference ability.

Summary: It is found that when Na2PtCl6 and SnCl2 are used as precursor salts, the metal particle size of Pt-Sn/Al2O3 is the smallest at 0.7 nm; bimetals exist in the form of PtSn alloy and its catalytic reforming activity is also the best. Increasing the Sn/Pt ratio further reduces the particle size of Pt and increases its dispersion, showing the best catalytic activity when the ratio is 1.5.

Summary: The immobilized deep eutectic solvent on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composite material, characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), has shown effective desulfurization of fuel oil by achieving a single desulfurization rate of 99.19%. The high desulfurization efficiency is attributed to the hydrogen bond between the S atom in the sulfide and the active H in the deep eutectic solvents, as well as the advantages of graphene such as ultra-high specific surface area, better adsorption capacity, and amphiphilic properties.
