Summary: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of remote intervention on anxiety symptoms and alcohol use in users of primary health care service. A quasi-experimental study was conducted with 1270 participants who completed the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory 6. Of these, 1033 participants scored for moderate/severe anxiety symptoms (STAI-6>3) and moderate/severe alcohol use risk (AUDIT-C>3), and received interventions via phone calls with seven-day and 180-day follow-ups. Mixed-effects regression model was used for data analysis. The results showed that the intervention had a positive effect on reducing anxiety symptoms between T0 and T1 (mu=1.6, p<0.001) and reducing alcohol use pattern between t1 and t3 (mu=1.57, p<0.001). In conclusion, the follow-up results suggest a positive effect of the intervention in reducing anxiety and alcohol use pattern, which tends to be maintained over time. There is evidence that the proposed intervention can be an alternative for preventive mental health care in situations where user or professional accessibility is compromised.

Summary: The study aims to characterize the biomass of acai seeds and establish technical parameters for producing high-quality briquettes, with temperature having a greater influence on the characteristics of the briquettes than pressure. Higher temperature and lower pressure resulted in better compression strength for the briquettes, while increased pressure led to decreased water absorption rate. Overall, improving pressure and utilizing temperature effectively can enhance the quality and energy density of the briquettes, making them suitable for combustion in boilers.

Summary: The study provides a detailed analysis of the 48-nm repeat model of mammalian doublet microtubules, uncovering specific features and previously unknown MIPs specific to vertebrate cilia. Loss of proteins involved leads to defective ciliary motility and laterality abnormalities in zebrafish and mice. This research helps identify candidate genes for ciliopathies and understand their functions in driving ciliary motility.

Summary: This study investigates the characteristics of the menstrual cycle and the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in students from the Lisbon region. The results suggest that menstrual disorders are common and may be associated with early menarche, but not with BMI. Encouraging self-monitoring of the menstrual cycle is important for timely detection of menstrual disorders and promoting health and well-being.

Summary: The study of macromolecular structures has revolutionized the pharmaceutical industry's development of new vaccines. While X-ray crystallography has been the traditional method, cryo-EM is gaining popularity due to recent advancements. Automated software is desired for labor-intensive de novo macromolecular complex modeling. This paper presents deep learning-based methods for macromolecule modeling applications.

Summary: Botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) are highly toxic causative agents of paralytic diseases that have been widely used in cosmetic and therapeutic applications. This study utilized single-particle cryogenic electron microscopy to determine the structures of BoNT/B and /E, highlighting the structural variations and dynamics of these toxins. This research demonstrates the potential of electron microscopy in studying bacterial toxins, particularly the botulinum neurotoxin family.

Summary: This article reviewed the clinical and radiological profile of patients with unknown-onset stroke, the imaging methods for guiding reperfusion treatment, and proposed a treatment protocol. Studies found no significant differences between the clinical and imaging characteristics of patients with unknown-onset stroke and those with known-onset stroke. The length of the therapeutic window is based on the difference between the diffusion penumbra and clinical core mismatch. Challenges in approaching unknown-onset stroke include extending the length of the treatment window, reproducibility of real-world imaging modalities, and discovering new methods.

Summary: The recent revolution in cryo-electron microscopy has allowed for the direct determination of macromolecular structures from cell extracts. However, accurately identifying the correct protein from a cryo-EM map is still challenging and often requires additional information. In this study, the researchers propose a server-based method called DeepTracer-ID that can identify candidate proteins from a cryo-EM map without the need for extra information. The method utilizes DeepTracer to generate a protein backbone model and searches it against a library of AlphaFold2 predictions for all proteins in the organism. The method showed high accuracy and robustness in identifying proteins from high-resolution cryo-EM maps.

Summary: The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between musculoskeletal problems experienced by family caregivers of stroke patients, physical health, and patient's level of disability. The results showed that low back pain was associated with Functional Ambulation Score, Functional Independence Measure, Stroke Impact Scale, and patient's Brunnstrom test. Neck pain was the second musculoskeletal complaint but not statistically associated with patient-related factors. Upper extremity problems were associated with scores on several scales. The study highlights the impact of musculoskeletal complaints on family caregivers of stroke patients and their relationship with patient's functional capacity and level of disability.

Summary: DNA and RNA play vital roles in cellular processes, and understanding their functions relies on the knowledge of their three-dimensional structures. However, modeling the structures of DNA and RNA remains challenging, especially at resolutions lower than atomic level, and there is a lack of computational methods for nucleic acid structure modeling. In this study, a fully automated de novo DNA/RNA structure modeling method based on deep learning called CryoREAD is proposed. CryoREAD accurately identifies and models phosphate, sugar and base positions in cryo-EM maps, outperforming existing methods. The method was also applied to cryo-EM maps of SARS-CoV-2 biomolecular complexes.
