Summary: There is limited research on the use of information technologies in music education, particularly in comparing the effectiveness of modern technological approaches to traditional methods. This study conducted at Lishui Music School aimed to assess the musical skills and abilities of students and compare the outcomes between a group using modern technologies and a control group following traditional curriculum. The study found that the experimental group performed better in several performance parameters, indicating the potential benefits of the New way of Music program for wider implementation in music schools.

Summary: The multi-tiered school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports is a comprehensive model for preventing behavioral and academic problems in schools. This study evaluated the Check-in/Check-out (CICO) intervention, a Tier 2 intervention, with three elementary school students from a high-need population. The results showed that implementing CICO with fidelity led to increased academic engagement and reduced problem behavior in all three students.

Summary: This study aimed to determine whether an at-home COVID-19 testing program could be as effective as an onsite testing program in middle school communities. Over a 21-week trial, it was found that participation rates and adherence to the weekly testing schedule were not inferior in at-home testing compared to onsite testing. Therefore, implementing at-home COVID-19 screening testing should be a routine prevention measure in schools nationwide, with adequate support to ensure participation and persistence in regular at-home testing.

Summary: The study found that aggressive descriptive norms and popularity norms both have an impact on students' classroom climate perceptions and adjustment in elementary education, but in different ways. Aggressive descriptive norms contribute to negative classroom climate perceptions regardless of students' social position, while aggressive popularity norms are related to school maladjustment for popular and victimized children.

Summary: The study found that there was no significant difference in students' 3D geometry achievement regardless of whether ICT or physical manipulatives support was used, both providing learning opportunities for all students. Therefore, teaching geometry should involve a combination of physical manipulatives and ICT support, depending on school resources and teachers' preferences.

Summary: The literature suggests that student preferences and the way music is taught in the classroom often do not align. A survey of 749 Cypriot secondary school students aged 12 to 14 addressed their enjoyment of music, motivation for school music lessons, and perceptions of the classroom environment. Overall, the students had positive perceptions of the environment, with high ratings for affiliation, teacher support, and rule clarity. However, these perceptions varied based on student characteristics such as gender, age, and achievement. Girls rated rule clarity higher than boys, younger students rated task orientation, order and organization, and rule clarity higher than older students, and higher-achieving students tended to rate affiliation and teacher support higher. The findings indicate that a music classroom environment characterized by student engagement, clarity of rules, good organization, clear goals, teacher support, and affiliation between classmates is important for enhancing motivation and enjoyment of music.
