Summary: Irrigation and nitrogen levels have significant effects on soil nutrient contents. The highest available N and P contents were observed under N2I1 and N0I0 respectively, while the highest available K, Ca, Mg, and sulfate sulfur were observed under N2I3. Nutrient uptake increased with higher irrigation and nitrogen levels due to their solubility and mobility. The study's findings can support the selection of appropriate irrigation schedules (I-3) and nitrogen levels (100% RDN) for fertility and efficient management of scarce water resources.

Summary: This study assessed the effectiveness of food waste compost and palm kernel biochar as soil amendments for Melastoma malabathricum L. grown in acidic soil conditions. The results showed that adding food waste compost significantly increased the chlorophyll, anthocyanin, phenolic, and flavonoid content of the plants, as well as their antioxidant potential and nutrient uptake.

Summary: The commercial cultivation potential of elite genotypes of Centella asiatica in India was evaluated under open-field and 50% shade conditions. It was found that the genotype Arka Divya showed the highest productivity, and the application of farmyard manure and nitrogen led to increased cumulative yield. The net return per rupee investment was higher in Arka Divya at different nutrient levels. Overall, the study highlights the profitability of growing elite genotypes of C. asiatica in open-field or 50% shade conditions by providing optimal nutrition.
