Determinants of the temperature adaptation of mRNA degradation

Summary: The rate of chemical reactions increases with temperature, but biochemical reactions can deviate from this relationship. The degradation of mRNAs is influenced by translation and codon composition. A method was developed to identify a neutral half-life for mRNA stabilization through translation. Some codons and Upf1 compensate for temperature in mRNA degradation.
