Zinc ferrite nanoparticles of size 32 nm and 61 nm, synthesized using ferric and zinc nitrate, were irradiated by 200 MeV Ag15+ irradiation with fluence of 4 x 10(12) ions/cm(2). Stopping and Range of Ions in Matter calculation shows evolution of latent/columnar tracks in after irradiation in these samples. Paramagnetic nature of irradiated samples transforms to ferrimagnetic after irradiation. Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra were recorded at different temperatures for these samples showing the presence of broad resonance signal followed by small kinks at lower magnetic fields. Intensity of these small kinks decreases with temperature and almost disappears at room temperature, showing the attributes of presence of irradiation induced magnetic ordering.
