Summary: This prospective cohort study aims to provide more data on the selection of drugs to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HBV. The results showed that both TDF and LdT were effective in preventing MTCT of HBV, but they may have different adverse events. TDF was more effective in reducing HBV viral load and had fewer alanine aminotransferase abnormalities compared to LdT.

Summary: The implementation of hepatitis B vaccine has significantly reduced the prevalence of HBV, with antiviral prophylaxis during pregnancy proving to be effective in preventing vertical transmission. However, there are still gaps in perfect strategies versus real-world application, including the need for comprehensive long-term safety profiles of antiviral prophylaxis and the necessity of timely birth dose vaccine and HBIG coverage. Feasible and cost-effective preventive strategies need to be determined across regions to meet the demands for prophylaxis and prevalence targets.

Antivirals are commonly used for chronic patients, while liver transplantation is the best option for end-stage liver disease. However, accessibility and cost issues limit HBV patients' access to treatment, leading to the exploration of alternative approaches like nutritional therapy. This review summarizes the potential antiviral activity of various nutrients against HBV and their mechanisms of action, suggesting promising options such as resveratrol, vitamin E, lactoferrin, selenium, curcumin, and more.

Summary: The clinical efficacy of lenvatinib was compared between hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and hepatitis C virus (HCV)-related HCC. The study found that patients with HBV-HCC had higher objective response rate and disease control rate compared to HCV-HCC, but there were no significant differences in progression-free survival and overall survival between the two groups. Multivariate regression analysis identified HBV infection and antiviral time > 5 years as independent favorable factors for progression-free survival. Overall, lenvatinib seemed to be more effective in HBV-related HCC compared to HCV-related HCC.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of antiviral therapy and drug withdrawal on the incidence of hepatitis B after delivery in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B virus infection. The results showed that immediate drug withdrawal or drug withdrawal at 6 weeks after delivery did not affect the incidence of postpartum hepatitis, but delaying drug withdrawal may delay the onset of postpartum hepatitis.
