Summary: The research shows that technologies such as sensors, radio-frequency identification, artificial intelligence, and analytics are crucial in improving environmental performance in the manufacturing industry. On the other hand, technologies like additive manufacturing, cobots, robots, automated mobile robots, and automated guided vehicles have a negative impact on environmental performance. There are concerns about the lack of knowledge and application, as well as skepticism towards technologies like artificial intelligence and augmented reality.

Summary: This study reviewed the methodological strengths and weaknesses of expert-based narrative and systematic reviews in environmental health. The findings indicate that systematic reviews produced more useful, valid, and transparent conclusions compared to non-systematic reviews, although poorly conducted systematic reviews were prevalent. Ongoing development and implementation of empirically based systematic review methods are necessary to ensure transparent and timely decision making in environmental health to protect public health.

Summary: Michelin-starred restaurants are not only profitable, but also become more profitable with each additional star. Besides the number of stars, variables such as the age of the restaurant, the gender of the chef, and the level of debt also impact the profitability of these restaurants in an industry where men tend to achieve more professional success than women.

Summary: The study finds that powerful CEOs have a positive impact on a firm's environmental performance, especially in profitable firms. This suggests that powerful CEOs are influential in providing resources to enhance environmental performance. Companies in polluted industries can mitigate lower environmental performance when they have powerful CEOs or are more profitable.

Summary: Environmental problems have become global issues, leading to the enactment of environmental accounting disclosure decrees in many countries, including China. This study examines the relationship between environmental accounting information disclosure (EAID), environmental performance index (EPI), board attributes, and profitability of publicly traded mining companies in China. The findings reveal mixed results regarding the correlation between board attributes and EAID, and suggest that both EAID and EPI positively influence the profitability of mining firms. The study provides valuable insights for stakeholders and highlights the positive impact of environmental accounting on ecological and financial performance in the mining industry.

Summary: Agricultural intensification is a key strategy to meet growing demand for food and bioenergy, as it can reduce land use change and associated environmental impacts while improving economic performance. In the Orinoquia region, different intensification scenarios show varying impacts on natural land conversion, biodiversity loss, water consumption, and economic benefits. Sustainable agricultural practices and productivity improvements are crucial for reducing pressure on natural areas and achieving sustainable agricultural development.

Summary: Using Chinese listed companies as the research setting, this paper examines the impact of corporate competing culture on environmental investment. The results show that competing culture has a significant and positive impact on firms' environmental investment. Moreover, the study finds that competing culture promotes corporate environmental investment through enhancing firms' internal control quality. The findings also indicate that the positive impact of corporate competing culture on environmental investment is more pronounced in firms with larger size, stronger corporate governance, in high-polluting industry, and located in less developed regions.
