Summary: The process of fault diagnosis is crucial in repairing products, with the design and construction of the product components playing a significant role. User experience and repair expertise are factors that influence fault diagnosis, but product design remains more influential. Based on these findings, design guidelines are proposed to facilitate the fault diagnosis process in consumer products.

Summary: This paper examines whether a multinational firm should adapt or standardize its green product design (GPD) in different markets, taking into account parallel importation and cross-market consumer environmental awareness (CEA) difference. The study finds that the multinational firm will standardize GPD in the absence of parallel importation and opt for adaptive GPD when a parallel importer enters. Furthermore, the entry of a parallel importer can benefit the multinational firm if it adopts adaptive GPD and there is a significant CEA gap.

Summary: This research examines the antecedents and consequences of product design value perception (PDVP) in luxury brands. It shows that social and individual drivers influence PDVP, and that PDVP has a direct influence on luxury brand love and willingness to pay a price premium. The study also explores the mediating role of brand identification and brand equity in the relationship between PDVP and brand love.

Summary: Text highlighting is a new method in online sensory-consumer research that allows participants to indicate their preferences and dislikes while reading a text. A case study on kiwifruit demonstrated that consumers have a more positive sentiment towards nutrition and health characteristics compared to sensory characteristics. The study also showed that text highlighting can be used to segment consumers based on their responses to specific product characteristics effectively.

Summary: This article presents a knowledge base to support decision-making for the design of consumer chemical products, considering the organizational dimension. Design recommendations were identified and analyzed based on data collected from interviews with industrial experts. The knowledge base contains systematically organized recommendations for successful product development and is applied to analyze the design process of a real small and medium-sized enterprise in the cosmetic sector.

Summary: This study conducted a survey on 400 mezcal consumers in Mexico to understand how they conceptualize mezcal. The results revealed four different clusters of mezcal consumers, including a social and involved segment that associated the beverage with traditional and food-related activities, a price-quality fixed segment that emphasized the product's handcraft process, uninvolved consumers who were not linked to specific terms, and uninformed and unaware consumers who had mainly negative product connotations.

Summary: Urban areas are increasingly vulnerable to flooding due to urbanization and climate change, remote sensing technology can provide practical help. Research shows most studies are in high-income countries and focus on observing the environment rather than buildings. Recommendations for future research include coastal urban areas, observing buildings in urban areas, and data standardization.

Summary: Research suggests that sustainability is a stronger differentiator than innovation. Consumers prefer sustainable products over innovative or undifferentiated products. Environmental concern increases preference for sustainable products but does not affect choice of undifferentiated products.

Summary: This paper focuses on predicting energy consumption and searching for changes in product design to reduce it. Parametric models based on regression analysis and artificial neural networks are used for energy consumption prediction, while constraint programming technique is used for identifying improvement opportunities. The results show that artificial neural networks improve the quality of estimation model, and constraint programming enables the identification of all possible solutions. These solutions help R&D specialists in reducing energy consumption through changes in product specifications.
