Summary: The study demonstrated that DHM treatment significantly inhibited liver fibrosis in mice induced by TAA, with decreased ALT and AST activities, increased SOD and GSH levels, and reversed MDA levels. DHM also inhibited hepatocyte apoptosis and hepatic stellate cell activation, and regulated the expression of TGF-beta 1, showing its potential hepatoprotective effects in treating liver fibrosis.

Summary: This study demonstrates that butaselen is a potential drug for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis by inhibiting the NF-κB/TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway. Additionally, butaselen and dexamethasone have a synergistic effect in inhibiting pulmonary fibrosis.

Summary: The study highlights the protective effect of Nuciferine (Nuf) against osteoarthritis (OA) by reducing extracellular matrix degradation and inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines. Nuf attenuates OA progression by targeting the PI3K/Akt/NF-kappa B signaling pathway.

Summary: This study revealed that the inhibition of CXCL13 in colorectal cancer has a mitigating effect on disease progression by promoting intestinal tumorigenesis through the activation of the AKT signaling pathway. Intestinal microbiota translocation drives CXCL13 production in dendritic cells through the activation of NF-kappa B signaling. Inhibition of microbiota translocation reduces CXCL13 production and ameliorates intestinal tumorigenesis.

Summary: Narciclasine (NA) inhibits pro-inflammatory factors in LPS-induced microglial cells but increases anti-inflammatory cytokines. The study suggests that NA may relieve neuroinflammation by down-regulating the Akt/IKK/NF-kappa B and JNK signaling pathways.

Summary: This study investigated the potential active components and molecular mechanisms of Renshen Baidu powder (RSBDP) for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Results showed that RSBDP could ameliorate disease activity index, colon weight, colon shortening, and histology in TNBS-induced colitis rats. Furthermore, RSBDP inhibited the PI3K/Akt/NF-kappa B signaling pathway to effectively alleviate colitis in rats.

Summary: Mitochondria released from injured cells activate endothelial cells and induce inflammatory responses. Exogenous mitochondria exposure promotes adhesion between ECs and effector memory T cells through IFI16-STING-NF-kappa B signaling. Internalized mitochondria undergo mitophagy and selective sequestration. This study suggests that regulating EC activation and mitophagy could mitigate allograft immune responses.

Summary: This study demonstrates the involvement of FK506-binding protein 5 (FKBP5) in recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA), suggesting its potential as a diagnostic and therapeutic target. FKBP5 upregulation at the placental interface contributes to the pathogenesis of RSA by impairing trophoblast function and promoting M1-type macrophage polarization. FKBP5 inhibits trophoblast IL-6 secretion and suppresses trophoblast function through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Moreover, FKBP5 promotes M1 macrophage polarization in decidual macrophages via the ROS/NF-kappa B signaling pathway. FKBP5 inhibitors improve embryo resorption rate in a mouse model of miscarriage, emphasizing the importance of FKBP5 in maintaining pregnancy and trophoblast-macrophage crosstalk at the maternal-fetal interface.

Summary: The study showed that cajanol significantly restored the sensitivity of A2780/Taxol ovarian cancer cells to paclitaxel by inhibiting P-glycoprotein expression and affecting its transcription and translation through the PI3K/Akt/NF-kappa B pathway. Cajanol may serve as a potential candidate compound for developing paclitaxel sensitizers, presenting a promising approach for overcoming multi-drug resistance in ovarian cancer treatment.

Summary: This study revealed that TSH stimulation activates NF-kappa B signaling, promoting differentiation of thyroid follicular cells through mechanisms involving protein kinase-mediated phosphorylation and acetylation modifications. The findings were replicated in primary cultures of NEMO-deficient mice thyrocytes, confirming the crucial role of NF-kappa B signaling in thyroid physiology.

Summary: Alpinae Oxyphyllae Fructus (AOF) has been shown to improve memory decline in LPS-induced AD mice by protecting neurons through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and reducing neuroinflammation levels. Additionally, AOF can decrease cytokine expression and NF-kappa B activity induced by LPS, demonstrating its potential anti-neuroinflammatory effects in AD models.

Summary: In this study, the anti-inflammatory effects and mechanisms of isosteviol (IS) against intestinal inflammation were investigated. IS was found to alleviate DSS-induced colitis by reducing inflammation and preserving intestinal barrier function through the PDK1/AKT/NF-kappa B signaling pathway. These findings highlight the potential of IS as a therapeutic agent for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).

Summary: In this study, we investigated the protective effect of schisandrin from Schisandra chinensis Baillon fruits on streptozotocin combined with high fat diet-induced diabetic nephropathy in mice. Schisandrin administration for 8 weeks significantly decreased blood glucose, advanced glycation end products, cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-C, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen levels, while increasing HDL-C levels. It also inhibited TGF-beta 1 and alpha-SMA expression, suppressed inflammatory response, and activated PI3K/Akt signaling. These findings demonstrate the nephroprotective effect of schisandrin against diabetic nephropathy in mice.
