Summary: This in vitro study evaluated and compared the accuracy of zygomatic dental implant placement using a dynamic navigation system versus a conventional free-hand technique. The results showed that the free-hand technique enabled more accurate placement of zygomatic dental implants than the computer-assisted surgical technique. Additionally, placement in the anterior region was more accurate than in the posterior region.

Summary: This study compared the accuracy of static navigation systems and dynamic navigation systems for placing zygomatic dental implants. The findings suggest that the manual free-hand technique may enable more accurate placement of zygomatic dental implants compared to computer-assisted surgical techniques.

Summary: Prosthetic rehabilitation through dental implants can be improved using implant planning software and digitally designed surgical guides. This systematic review evaluates the success rates, bone remodeling, and possible complications related to guided implant surgery. The results show high implant survival rates, but early failures are common due to lack of osseointegration, and various factors influence implant survival.

Summary: The study compared free-hand implant planning and placement with computer-assisted implant planning and placement (CAIPP) in achieving the planned implant position. The results showed that CAIPP protocols resulted in smaller deviations regardless of tooth gap size, while in the free-hand group, gap size only influenced angular errors.

Summary: Dwarfism refers to the condition where children of the same gender and age are lower than two standard deviations of normal height in the same environment. A computer-aided diagnosis model based on brain image data and clinical features is established for the first time, along with a dwarfism prediction algorithm using multimodal pyradiomics.

Summary: A retrospective investigation of 392 patients who underwent cone-connected implant treatment from 2008 to 2010 showed a 5-year cumulative complication-free rate of 83.34%. Veneer chipping was the most common prosthetic complication, and the complication-free rate of integrated abutment crowns was significantly higher than that of gold porcelain crowns.

Summary: This study evaluated the feasibility and usefulness of using computer-aided design (CAD) in the surgical treatment of leg length discrepancy (LLD) with monorail external fixators. CAD was used to create personalized surgical plans based on preoperative CT scans for limb parameters. The results showed that CAD-assisted surgery achieved simultaneous length and angular correction without compromising lower limb function. The study highlights the utility of CAD in improving the functionality of monorail external fixators for LLD treatment.

Summary: Successful implantation in augmented areas requires adequate bone density and quality, as well as thorough planning. This study evaluated the healing process after implant surgery (dental implants) using dynamic surgical navigation following bone augmentation. The results showed faster healing in patients treated with the flapless technique and Navident dynamic navigation, along with lower levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

Summary: The study proposed a novel, radiation-free method for postoperative three-dimensional position analysis of dental implants based on the dynamic navigation system (DNS) and evaluated its accuracy in vitro. The results showed that this non-radiographic method provides facile, efficient, and reliable postoperative implant position evaluation and may be a potential substitute for cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), particularly for implants placed under the guidance of dynamic navigation.

Summary: Developing efficient triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) is crucial for their applications. However, the current design processes cannot effectively optimize complex TENG structures. Therefore, a universal computer aided design automation method is proposed to generate optimal power output TENG designs with designated matching resistance. Through simulations and verification, a designed FR-TENG with optimized output power and impedance is used in a self-powered wireless environmental monitoring system.

Summary: This study compared the effects of tooth-borne and computer-guided miniscrew-supported expanders on dentoalveolar, skeletal, periodontal, and airway changes. The results showed that computer-guided expanders allowed for a greater transversal increase of the nasal-maxillary skeletal structures by reducing the dentoalveolar side effects.
