A unique nanoflower assembled from porous nanosheets was synthesized successfully via a novel one-step hydrothermal method for the first time. Namely, there was no calcination conducted on the whole preparation process, which was different from what the previous researches did. The unique architecture was characterized in detail using X-ray diffractometer, field-emission electron microscope. A possible growth mechanism was further proposed. We find that the obtained material shows a very excellent gassensing performance due to unique architecture with lots of pores on the petals. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
