I have previously submitted an article to MDPI. The last time, it took less than a month from submission to acceptance.

This time, submitting to nanomaterials has been quite a challenge. Review process to major revisions took one month. Major revisions to minor revisions took five days. Minor revisions to acceptance took seven days. Pending English and proofreading took three to four days.

The statuses "Pending decision" and "Pending editor decision" in MDPI are quite interesting. Personally, I feel that the latter status implies a slightly better outcome, but the decision ultimately depends on the editor's authority.
