Aims and Scope
Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review publishes informative and high quality articles drawn from across the spectrum of logistics and transportation research. Subjects include, but are not limited to:
Transport economics including cost and production functions, capacity, demand, pricing, externalities, modal studies;
Transport infrastructure and investment appraisal;
Evaluation of public policies related to transportation;
Empirical and analytical studies of logistics management practices and performance;
Logistics and operations models, especially with applications;
Logistics and supply-chain management topics.
Part E's aims and scope are complementary to Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Part B: Methodological, Part C: Emerging Technologies, Part D: Transport and Environment and Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour. The complete set forms the most cohesive and comprehensive reference of current research in transportation science.

Verified Reviews
While the journal does not deliberately emphasize the fancy mathematical forms of TRB, it still requires high standards in modeling and expects insights and implications in the articles.
Although the journal's impact is slightly lower than TRB, it is noticeably higher than several other parts.
The first review took 3 months, and major revisions were required.
During the second review, Reviewer 1 suddenly claimed that the model was incorrect and provided a counterexample, leading to rejection. The editor rejected the paper, but Reviewers 2 and 3 agreed to accept it.
The author defended against Reviewer 1's counterexample, and the editor and Reviewer 1 agreed to reconsider. Reviewer 1 suggested conducting an additional experiment, which required major revisions.
Finally, the paper was accepted after the third review, which took a total of 8 months.
Personally, I feel that the reviewers chosen by this journal are not fellow experts in the field, and some of the questions raised were not very professional.
