The International Journal of Impact Engineering, established in 1983 publishes original research findings related to the response of structures, components and materials subjected to impact, blast and high-rate loading. Areas relevant to the journal encompass the following general topics and those associated with them:
-Behaviour and failure of structures and materials under impact and blast loading
-Systems for protection and absorption of impact and blast loading
-Terminal ballistics
-Dynamic behaviour and failure of materials including plasticity and fracture

The second article in IJIE was reviewed at a fast pace. However, there were some delays in publication due to file issues, and I forgot to update the high-quality images. That was my own fault. The journal is definitely top-notch, but I wonder why it has been changed to Zone 2 now. I hope it continues to improve, and every new article must be submitted here for the first time. It has high recognition.
The first article in IJIE was even faster, taking less than 2 months. Here are the details:

Accepted on 2020.2.10.
There are still some under review, and I hope they continue in the same way.

The editor is very responsible, and after sending the email inquiries, there will usually be a reply and corresponding measures. Perhaps due to the research direction issue, the editor sent the manuscript to no fewer than ten reviewers, but ultimately only one reviewer accepted the review. After addressing three comments, the paper was successfully accepted for publication.
