One of the few domestically produced medical journals, it currently has strict review standards. Our laboratory conducted research in a niche field and proposed a new technique that was controversial. As a result, it went through two rounds of major revisions by five reviewers, taking half a year from March to September. However, this is an exceptional case, as other manuscripts are usually processed quickly.

Originally, we thought that our field was not well-known, but the journal managed to find highly professional reviewers who were experts in this area and had a deep understanding of the technique. They were responsible and provided many suggestions, patiently explaining the bugs to us. We made numerous modifications and removed any exaggerated claims, and finally, the paper was accepted.

The editor was a very helpful person, patiently assisting us in handling the manuscript and promptly addressing many of our concerns. I checked and found that this editor has received high praise from other forums as well.

The value of domestically produced journals lies in the support of the Chinese people. Currently, the quality of articles has also improved, allowing them to enter the ranks of excellent journals. The journal's editors are responsible, and the reviewers are professional, which is a very positive sign. Although domestic journals still face controversies and shortcomings, their operational model and manuscript quality still lag behind those of Europe and the United States. However, if we don't support our own journals, how can domestic publications develop?
