Summary: This study aims to examine the effects of consumer consciousness, food safety concern, and healthy lifestyle on attitudes toward eating green, with a focus on the mediating role of healthy lifestyle. The findings suggest that health consciousness, food safety concern, and healthy lifestyle significantly influence attitudes toward eating green, while environmental and price consciousness do not. A healthy lifestyle mediates the relationship between health consciousness and attitude toward eating green, emphasizing the importance of physical health-related activities in shaping consumer attitudes.

Summary: This study analyzed data from 288 sampled consumers and identified four distinct clusters of consumers based on their food choices: utilitarian, protecting, toning, and highly demanding. The research found that consumers are increasingly preferring health-related attributes over traditional attributes when choosing food products, with these consumers typically being older, health-conscious, and more prone to psychological health risks. The study highlights the importance of demographic and psychographic factors in driving trade-offs between health and non-health-related attributes in food product choices.

Summary: The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the differences in parental views on child feeding and its impact on health between those who perceived themselves to follow a healthy diet and those who did not. The study also compared the differences in diet quality and weight of children between these two groups. The results showed that parents who perceived themselves as following a healthy diet were more health-conscious in their child feeding practices and considered diet to have a significant impact on their child's long-term health. Their children also had better diet quality and lower BMI-SDS values compared to children of non-health-conscious parents.

Summary: Western diets, high in fat and sugar and low in vegetable fiber, are causing an increase in obesity and diseases of civilization. These diets lead to gut dysbiosis and overgrowth of Candida albicans, a major cause of fungal infection worldwide. Factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity, prolonged use of antibiotics, and chronic psychological stress also contribute to disease development and gut dysbiosis. A diversified diet containing vegetable fiber, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins D and E, and probiotic or prebiotic supplements can improve the biodiversity of the microbiota and reduce the abundance of fungal species in the gut. Traditional medicine offers various foods and plants effective against fungal overgrowth and gut dysbiosis. Overall, healthy diets and lifestyle factors positively impact the gut microbiota and the brain.

Summary: This study evaluated the current state of health literacy (HL) among college students and explored the factors influencing HL, as well as the relationship between HL and health conditions. The majority of participants had problematic or unsatisfactory HL levels. Those with healthy lifestyles scored higher on HL, and higher HL levels were associated with better subjective health. Educational intervention programs for college students should be established to improve their HL levels.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of calorie-related information on food choices and reveals that presenting either daily calorie recommendations or specific calorie information can reduce consumers' calorie consumption. However, when both types of information are presented concurrently, this effect is nullified. The study also finds that personality traits, such as extroversion and self-esteem, influence food choices, with extroverts more likely to choose lower-calorie options. Good self-restraint is also linked to lower-calorie choices. These findings highlight the importance of strategic calorie information policies in promoting healthier choices.
