Apparently their immune response against a specific bacteria increased by a whopping 10,000 fold! With more such research coming out recently, we are likely to see mice with a more human-like immune profiles in the near future.
Very informative and sadly true. The industrial revolution has lead to great disturbance in the oceanic atmosphere resulting in negative impact on marine life. This includes behavioral/physiological impacts and sometimes even death. The authors suggest employing a sustainable approach to reduce anthropogenic noise by utilizing/implementing available solutions, leading to well balanced oceanic soundscape.
