Summary: Nociceptive nerves play a role in enforcing HSC mobilization through CGRP secretion, collaborating with sympathetic nerves to maintain HSCs in the bone marrow. CGRP directly activates HSCs via the G alpha(s)/adenylyl cyclase/cAMP pathway, and consumption of capsaicin-containing food enhances HSC mobilization in mice.

Summary: Adult stem cells possess self-renewal and differentiation abilities and are present in major organ systems of the body. They maintain tissue homeostasis and respond to injury or infection by modulating proliferation, differentiation, survival, and migration dynamics. Genetic and epigenetic factors tightly regulate the behavior of adult stem cells, with understanding these mechanisms being crucial for regenerative medicine.

Summary: A CAR-T cell targeted at AML's full-length Flt3 ligand recognition module is shown to have specific killing effects on Flt3-positive leukemia cells without cytotoxicity towards Flt3-negative cells. The cytolytic capacity of T cells plays a crucial role in the killing, and the targeting authenticity is confirmed through competitive inhibition. The developed system, functioning as a non-immunogenic equivalent of scFv-mediated targeting, shows promising antitumor effects with low off-target cytotoxicity for AML treatment.

Summary: This study systematically evaluated the effect size of stem cell therapy in animal models of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) by pooling and analyzing data from newly published studies. The results showed that stem cell therapy had remarkable benefits on both functional and structural outcomes in animal models of ICH, with a very large effect size.

Summary: The cells of acute myeloid leukemia are characterized by clonal growth and heterogenous immunophenotypes. Ligand-based Flt3m-CAR T-cells targeting Flt3 with reduced bioactivity of Flt3Lg-L27P have been developed, combining the specificity of ligand-receptor recognition with potentially safer immunotherapy.

Summary: This meta-analysis suggests that mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy has the potential to alleviate nasal symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) by attenuating Th2 immune responses, reducing IgE secretion, and decreasing nasal infiltration of eosinophils (EOS).

Summary: The study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of preclinical data on mesenchymal stem cell therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS) and found that MSC administration significantly improved functional recovery and promoted remyelination in rodent models of MS. Despite significant heterogeneity among studies, the overall positive effect of MSCs on functional outcomes and remyelination was evident in the analysis.

Summary: IL-4 and IL-13 have been shown to modulate keratinocyte sensitivity to changes in extracellular calcium levels, inhibiting differentiation signals by suppressing the expression of the Ca2+-binding protein SMOC1. These findings suggest a new target for the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

Summary: This meta-analysis suggests that transplantation of MSC-EVs in rodent models of multiple sclerosis (MS) improves functional recovery. However, there are still critical knowledge gaps, such as insufficient standardized dosage units and uncertainty regarding the optimal dose of MSC-EVs transplantation.

Summary: Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease where the IL-23/IL-17 pathway and TNF-α cytokine play important roles in its pathogenesis. Animal models have provided new insights into molecular mechanisms at different stages of SpA, aiding in understanding disease initiation and potential therapeutic strategies.

Summary: Cell motility is critical for tumor malignancy. Analysis of transcriptomes from glioblastoma patients identified metabolic weaknesses shared by motile cells, characterized by enhanced mitochondrial load, oxidative stress, and dependence on increased ROS production and MPST activity for their motility.

Summary: Researchers developed a novel method for hematopoietic differentiation of human-induced pluripotent stem cells to address the issue of low production of CD38(+) hematopoietic progenitor cells. They found that the lack of FLT3 expression was responsible for this problem and solved it by adding interferon-gamma.

Summary: The activation of the IL-8 network in the niche of CSCs is observed in the progression of adenoma to colorectal cancer (CRC), potentially stimulated by IL-1 beta. The interaction between CSCs and their microenvironment is regulated by cytokines, with IL-8 being one of the main mediators in CRC.
