Summary: A nomogram was developed to predict the survival of stage IIIC endometrial cancer patients who received adjuvant radiotherapy (ART) alone. The low-risk patients may not need adjuvant chemotherapy, while the middle- and high-risk patients could benefit from it.

Summary: This study evaluated the patterns of recurrence and factors affecting recurrence after interval cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in primary stage IIIC/IVA epithelial ovarian cancer. The results showed a higher incidence of systemic recurrences in these patients, with nodal involvement, selective peritonectomy, and residual disease being significant factors influencing recurrence risk. Extent of peritonectomy and nodal clearance impacted patterns of recurrence and progression free survival.

Summary: This study compared the oncological outcomes of patients with FIGO 2018 stage IIIC cervical cancer based on different local tumor factors who underwent different treatments. The results showed that radical chemoradiotherapy (R-CT) was not necessarily superior to neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radical surgery (NACT) or abdominal radical hysterectomy (ARH) for stage IIIC patients. NACT is not suitable for T1, T2a, and T2b stages, while ARH is potentially applicable to T1, T2a, T2b, and T3 stages.

Summary: The combination of CT scan and EXL showed higher diagnostic power than CT alone in patients with ovarian cancer, leading to a significant reduction in unnecessary laparotomy. Improvement in PPV and NPV were observed in certain anatomic areas, indicating the potential benefits of adding EXL to the diagnostic process.

Summary: In advanced epithelial ovarian cancer patients, undergoing upper abdominal surgical procedures does not prolong the time interval from surgery to initiation of adjuvant chemotherapy, despite increased rates of postoperative complications and longer hospital stay. Postoperative monitoring is mainly based on routine clinical management rather than procedure-specific surveillance.

Summary: The study showed that for stage IIIC endometrial cancer, sequencing chemotherapy before radiation increased the completion rate of chemotherapy cycles and reduced locoregional lymphatic recurrence, despite delaying radiotherapy until after 3-6 cycles of chemotherapy and not administering concurrent cisplatin. Additionally, the number of chemotherapy cycles before radiotherapy was found to impact distant recurrence rates in endometrial cancer trials.

Summary: A prediction model for optimal debulking in ovarian cancer was developed based on pre-diagnosis epidemiologic factors and tumor markers. Results showed that current aspirin use was associated with lower odds of optimal debulking, while ADRB2 and FAP markers were associated with increased odds of optimal debulking.

Summary: The sequence and type of adjuvant therapy did not impact overall survival or recurrence-free survival rates among stage IIIC endometrial carcinoma patients. Various factors, such as race, tumor histology, grade, stage, and organ involvement, were significantly associated with worse outcomes, particularly for black race and nonendometrioid histology patients. Distant metastasis was the most common site of first recurrence, highlighting the need for novel regimens despite systemic chemotherapy.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the most predictive lymph node (LN) scheme for stage IIIC endometrial cancer (EC) patients and develop a scheme-based nomogram. The findings showed that FIGO staging was not an independent risk factor for survival in stage IIIC EC patients, while the log odds of positive lymph nodes (LODDS) had the best predictive ability. A nomogram based on LODDS was constructed and validated, showing a better predictive ability than the FIGO staging system.

Summary: Adjuvant IV/IP chemotherapy was associated with improved progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with ovarian cancer miliary disease spread, while no such benefit was observed in patients with nonmiliary disease spread.
