Summary: This study applied a sequential approach to integrate scientific evidence, patient and professional experience, to develop interventions to support better eating with dentures. The interventions included a patient leaflet, web-based interventions, patient support blogs, etc. Patients generally received no advice on eating with dentures, and professionals lacked confidence to provide such advice. Face validity with users confirmed the acceptability of the patient leaflet, indicating its potential wide acceptance.

Summary: CAD/CAM technology is increasingly used in the fabrication of dentures, offering advantages such as better fit, reduced appointments, and improved patient satisfaction. Computer-engineered complete dentures (CECDs) have distinct material and manufacturing processes compared to conventional dentures. Patients reported higher satisfaction with CECDs, and CAD/CAM technology enables precision and reproducibility in the fabrication process.

Summary: The study discusses the most common complication associated with an implant-supported fixed complete denture (ISFCD), which is the wear of artificial teeth, and describes the fabrication of a new maxillary removable complete denture opposing an existing ISFCD with occlusal modifications. Both prostheses were repaired using splinted zirconia crowns cemented with composite resin cement.

Summary: Minimizing problems related to complete denture treatment involves cooperation between the dentist, the patient, and the dental laboratories. Common postplacement denture problems include incompatibility with the oral environment, difficulties with chewing, disharmony with functions like speech, respiration, and swallowing, dissatisfaction with aesthetics, and deterioration of soft tissues or bony support.

Summary: The use of implant-supported prostheses significantly improves masticatory function compared to conventional rehabilitations, but stable bioavailability is observed for most nutrients, especially in complete edentulous patients. These results highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, involving nutrition specialists, during oral rehabilitation to enhance food choices and promote health benefits.

Summary: The study aimed to compare the treatment outcomes and time efficiency between digital and conventional complete denture restorations. The results showed that the satisfaction scores of digital dentures were higher and the clinical and laboratory operation times were shorter compared to conventional dentures. Therefore, digital complete denture restorations can improve efficiency and shorten the manufacturing cycle of dentures.

Summary: This study compared the efficacy of a traditional complete denture and a biofunctional prosthetic system in patients with total dentition loss, and analyzed the risk factors affecting their efficacy. The results showed that the biofunctional prosthetic system had better clinical efficacy, masticatory function, and comfort compared to the traditional denture. Age, tooth defect as the cause of dentition loss, smoking history, and traditional denture restoration were identified as independent risk factors for ineffective treatment.

Summary: This study compared the efficacy of a traditional complete denture and a biofunctional prosthetic system of a complete denture, and identified risk factors affecting their efficacy. The results showed that the biofunctional prosthetic system had better outcomes in improving masticatory function and patient comfort compared to the traditional denture. Logistic regression analysis revealed that older age, dentition loss caused by tooth defect, smoking history, and traditional denture restoration were independent risk factors for ineffective treatment.

Summary: The in vitro study aimed to evaluate the effect of applying a 70% alcohol solution on the physical and mechanical properties of a bisacrylate composite resin, with and without the application of a light-polymerizing glaze, subjected to 0.12% CHX twice a day for 7 days. The results showed that the application of alcohol significantly optimized the properties of the composite resin, but the use of CHX had varying effects on microhardness and roughness when the glaze was applied.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the success and survival rates of cracked teeth restored in different directions. The results showed that previous endodontic treatment had a negative impact on the survival rate of cracked teeth. Additionally, early placement of full-coverage crowns improved the survival rate of cracked teeth regardless of the direction or number of crack lines.
