Summary: The expression of KLHL21 is significantly reduced in bladder carcinoma tissues and cell lines, and lower expression of KLHL21 is associated with poorer overall survival. Over-expression of KLHL21 inhibits the proliferation, migration and invasion of bladder carcinoma cells, while knockdown of KLHL21 accelerates these processes. KLHL21 negatively regulates the activation of the NF-KB signaling pathway and down-stream molecules involved in cell survival, death, and migration.

Summary: Through studying an experimental colitis mouse model, it was found that the increased systemic exposure of metronidazole in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases might be related to the downregulation of CYP2A5, which is regulated by the inflammatory factor NF-KB. The regulatory effect of colitis on CYP2A5 depends mainly on the disease itself, rather than the inflammatory compound, DSS.

Summary: NF-KB signaling is active in pancreatic cancer and plays a crucial role in its progression. This study demonstrates that VRK2 regulates TNFa/NF-KB signaling by interacting with IKKss and activating the pathway. VRK2 overexpression promotes the growth of pancreatic cancer cells and organoids. Inhibition of IKKss abolishes the promotive effect of VRK2. These findings suggest that VRK2 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for pancreatic cancer.

Summary: Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in females, with metastatic bone disease being a major complication. Pogostone has been found to inhibit osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption, as well as suppress invasion and migration of breast cancer cells. These findings suggest that pogostone could be a potential drug for the treatment of breast cancer-associated bone metastasis.

Summary: In this study, we found that TNFR2 is highly expressed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and is associated with aggressive clinicopathologic characteristics and poor outcomes. Overexpression of TNFR2 promotes proliferation, migration, and invasion of PDAC cells through activation of the NF-KB signaling pathway. TNFR2 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for PDAC.

Summary: COVID-19 is a global pandemic with significant morbidity and mortality, and there is currently no approved drug available to eradicate the virus. Research suggests that dysregulation of inflammation pathways may be a key factor in COVID-19 complications, with non-coding RNAs (miRNAs) playing crucial roles in regulating this process.

Summary: Licorice has anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects by affecting the protein expression of TLR4/MyD88/NF-KB, improving the integrity of the intestinal mucosal barrier. It also reverses the imbalance in Th17/Treg cell differentiation and influences the expression of ROR-yt and Foxp3. Licorice has a significant impact on the diversity of gut microbiota, improving the composition of dominant species and increasing the amount of beneficial bacteria.

Summary: rNLRC3 negatively regulates the NF -KB signaling pathway induced by P. multocida in rabbits by inhibiting the activation of NF -KB, reducing the expression of inflammatory cytokines, and interacting with rTRAF4 and rTRAF6. The NACHT-LRR domain is the functional domain of rNLRC3. These findings provide insights into the important role of rNLRC3 in combating P. multocida infection.
