Obesity seems to exert a small but important extraovarian effect that may influence cycle outcome during assisted reproduction. Future investigation should focus on elucidating whether the endometriurn is truly responsible for this deficit, and if it is, determining the mechanisms involved. (Fertil Steril (R) 2008;89:1606-8.
