Summary: Morphological changes in hydrates during drying process can cause various potential problems. The crystal properties of caffeine, such as morphology and particle size distribution, vary with drying temperatures. The mechanism of morphological changes in caffeine hydrate and their effect on caking behavior were studied. The removal of water in the crystal lattices is accelerated at higher temperatures, resulting in burr formations, wider particle size distributions, and poorer morphology.

Summary: Recent regulatory amendments highlight the importance of repetition and interactivity in corporate disclosures. Two experiments show that repetition enhances investors' processing of repeated information, but reduces their processing of nonrepeated information. However, interactive disclosures mitigate the harmful effects of repetition on nonrepeated information processing.

Summary: The study investigates the impact of political connections on the cash flows and firm investments of Indian firms. Using data from 1,953 listed firms on the National Stock Exchange during the period of 2009 to 2021, the study finds that politically connected firms have lower investment cash flow sensitivities compared to politically non-connected firms. Additionally, politically connected, financially constrained firms are less reliant on internal cash for investments.

Summary: Logistics is crucial for economic development, with developed countries striving to introduce green logistics to mitigate environmental damages caused by transportation. A comparative panel study reveals that R&D, FDI, portfolio investment, and trade have different impacts on green logistics for G7 and E7 nations. Financial development and economic growth do not significantly influence green logistics. Policy suggestions are made for E7 nations to catch up with G7 in logistics development and for G7 nations to boost green logistics.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between family adaptability and cohesion (FAC), ASD severity, parental self-efficacy, and parental stress among primary caregivers of children diagnosed with ASD in China. The results showed that higher FAC was associated with reduced parental stress through increased parental self-efficacy. The indirect effect of parental self-efficacy was more substantial for caregivers of children with severe symptoms. These findings have important theoretical and practical implications for understanding and addressing parental stress in families raising children with ASD.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between caregivers' internal or external parental locus of control (PLOC) orientation and child development outcomes. The results show that caregivers with an internal PLOC orientation are more likely to invest in a stimulating home environment and improve child development outcomes. Grandparent caregivers, on the other hand, tend to have an external PLOC orientation, which is associated with reduced engagement in interactive caregiver-child activities.

Summary: This study reveals the dynamic impact of spillover effects on the choice of food safety strategies of companies through an evolutionary game model. It finds that as the opportunity costs of safety investment increase, companies' food safety strategies shift from safety investment to food fraud. Competition effects and contagion effects encourage companies to choose safety investment.

Summary: This study examines the impact of social norms from parents and peers on the relationship between media exposure and cyber aggression. It finds that frequent exposure to antisocial media content is significantly associated with higher rates of individual cyber aggression, with peer behavior playing a significant moderating role in this relationship. No significant interaction effects with media exposure were found for perceived injunctive norms of peers and parents.

Summary: Based on panel data from Colombian manufacturing firms, this study finds that IT investments alone do not improve innovation performance over time. However, when combined with an R&D unit, they do enhance innovation performance. Additionally, IT investments substitute for skilled labor and have a positive impact on innovation performance, while their interaction with networks does not significantly affect innovation performance.

Summary: This letter explores the impact of political connection on the relationship between geopolitical risk (GPR) and corporate investment. Using a large sample of U.S. firms from 1996 to 2018, the study finds that politically connected firms can moderate the negative effect of GPR on corporate investments. Companies that make political action committee (PAC) contributions and lobby members of Congress invest more than their non-politically connected competitors. These results are supported by various robustness analyses.

Summary: The study investigates how human and social capitals of Korean venture capitalists affect their investment strategies, and explores how the characteristics of their parent companies influence these relationships. Data from Korea Venture Investment Corporation is used, and hierarchical regression analysis is conducted using SPSS. The results suggest that venture capitalists with prior output experience or more investment experience tend to focus on investing in early-stage ventures or specialized industries. Additionally, the relationships are weakened when the venture capitals' parent companies are financial institutions.

Summary: This paper empirically examines the negative externalities and frictions of zombie enterprises on transitioning to a low carbon production model. The study finds that zombie enterprises play a decisive role in the variation of carbon emission intensity, especially in small and medium-sized cities in western China. The presence of zombie enterprises may crowd out investments in pollution abatement technology, hinder the marketization process, and distort the energy structure, thereby impeding the implementation of climate change policies.

Summary: In this study, Gaussian Process regression was used to reconstruct the seamount topography in the Pacific plate, revealing that previous estimates of erupted volumes were significantly underestimated. The study concludes that shallow processes rather than deep processes dominate the formation of seamounts, with proposed plumes contributing only a minority of the total intraplate volcanism in the Pacific plate.
