Summary: Aging affects the function of epidermal stem cells (EpiSCs) and wound healing by reducing the activity of the PI3K/Akt pathway. Tideglusib can promote the proliferation, migration, and wound healing of EpiSCs by activating the PI3K/Akt pathway.

Summary: This study found that PLCD3 is highly expressed in ESCC tissues and cell lines, and its expression is correlated with pathological stage and lymphatic metastasis. PLCD3 knockdown inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, promotes apoptosis, and arrests the cell cycle in the G1 phase. PLCD3 overexpression, on the other hand, promotes cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Xenograft models also suggest that PLCD3 promotes tumorigenesis in ESCC. Finally, overexpression of PLCD3 activates the PI3K/AKT/P21 signaling pathway.

Summary: Cadmium has a significant impact on agricultural production, but selenium can alleviate its toxicity. This study aimed to investigate the effects of selenium on cadmium-induced heart injury and found that selenium may protect the heart from cadmium-induced pyroptosis, autophagy, and apoptosis by interfering with the PI3K/AKT/PTEN signaling pathway.
