Summary: The study found that sophoraflavanone M (SFM) has anti-inflammatory effects, reducing the production of inflammatory mediators in vivo and in vitro. SFM acts on both NF-κB and JNK/AP-1 signaling pathways, indicating its potential as a natural candidate for alleviating inflammatory conditions.

Summary: AP-1 is a transcription factor involved in cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Dysfunctional AP-1 activity is associated with cancer initiation, development, invasion, migration, and drug resistance. Small molecule inhibitors targeting AP-1 have shown some anticancer effects, but more research is needed to understand the specific mechanisms and select appropriate inhibitors and treatment strategies. Ultimately, this review summarizes the potential of combination therapy for cancer.

Summary: MMPP is a novel synthetic analog that exerts anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects by downregulating the STAT3 pathway and enhancing glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity. It can inhibit the expression of inflammatory cytokines and COX-2 in LPS-stimulated monocytes. MMPP directly binds to CD14 and MD2, inhibits the activation of NF-kappa B and JNK/AP-1 pathways, and shows anti-inflammatory activity.

Summary: Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons and the accumulation of Lewy bodies in the substantia nigra. Microglia-mediated neuroinflammation plays a key role in PD pathogenesis. In this study, we found that pazopanib, a pan-VEGF receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor, showed anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects in PD models.

Summary: This study found that emodin protects against LPS-induced acute lung injury (ALI) by regulating the JNK/Nur77/c-Jun signaling pathway. The results of this study indicate the potential of emodin in the treatment of ALI.

Summary: The main bioactive compound in licorice, liquiritin (LQ), has significant anti-inflammatory effects against acute lung injury (ALI) induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). It inhibits the activation of the JNK/Nur77/c-Jun signaling pathway, suggesting that LQ may be a potential therapeutic candidate for ALI and inflammatory disorders.

Summary: MSUc induces a metabolic-inflammatory response in non-primed macrophages, leading to metabolic rewiring in gouty arthritis patients and mice. This response is regulated by JUN and JNK signaling and is independent of LPS stimulation and inflammasome activation.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of histatin-1 (Hst1) on LPS-induced inflammatory responses and the underlying molecular mechanisms in RAW264.7 (RAW) macrophages. The results demonstrated that Hst1 can inhibit LPS-induced inflammatory mediator production and MAPK signaling pathways in macrophages.

Summary: This study found that c-Jun/AP-1 protein regulates CCL2 and IL-23 production in DCs following TLR7 activation, affecting psoriasis-like skin inflammation. The expression of CCL2 and IL-23 in human psoriatic skin co-localize with c-Jun in type-2/inflammatory DCs, and inhibition of JNK-AP-1 can reduce the expression of these targets in TLR7/8-stimulated human DCs.

Summary: This study investigates the anti-inflammatory effects of MIC-1 extracted from Moringa oleifera seeds in LPS-induced inflammation models. MIC-1 reduces nitric oxide production and expression of pro-inflammatory markers in myoblasts. Transcriptomic analysis reveals the inhibitory effects of MIC-1 on LPS-induced inflammation, suggesting its impact on inflammation and immunity-related genes in myoblasts and skeletal muscle tissue.
